Course Description

This Course is a Comprehensive Guide to accelerating Ideas, Innovation, Creative Thinking, Expertise and Mastery !
For individuals, Teams, and Organisations.

With deep perspectives, and insights, from Psychology, Neuroscience, History, Evolution and even some Mathematics, you will go on a journey which will help you understand what works, and what does not, to improve creativity, innovation, expertise, and mastery.

The Course will give you a 2 pronged Approach, and Research based Strategies, to improving Ideas and Innovation, both at an Individual level, and at an organizational, or team level.

Accelerating Ideas and Innovation, as Individuals, and creating an Innovative Culture, as Leaders !

I first look at what sort of environments, and workspaces, accelerate, and enhance, Ideas and Innovation.

Then I look at what enhances expertise and ideas from an individual’s point of view.

Can you design your workspaces in such a way that you can increase the chances of more and better ideas ? Do ideas and innovation require privacy, or more interactions and discussions ?

Are Creative and Innovative geniuses born with it, or is it something that can be developed later ? Is Intelligence important? What other factors are a good predictor of Creativity, Innovation, Expertise or Success ?

Does sheer hard work and practice make a difference? What does the Research in Psychology and Neuroscience say about these things ?

And, in a Supplementary Section at the end, you will also get an evolutionary and historical perspective of ideas and innovation, sprinkled with examples and real life cases throughout.

This deeper understanding, insights, research findings, examples, and lessons, will help you become well-informed and successful Leaders and Managers, who cultivate creativity and innovation, not just in themselves, but also in their Team and Organisations.

The lessons on team dynamics and innovation were also valuable. The course did an excellent job of illustrating how to cultivate a culture of creativity and open communication within a team. The case studies and real-world examples helped bridge the gap between theory and practice, making the content relatable and applicable.

Content-wise very easy to follow, logically divided and arranged, and generally interesting. I really appreciated the mix of abstract concepts reinforced by concrete examples and real-life illustrative cases. As a nitpick, the sound balancing between sections could be more standardized, but that does not affect the contents.

The course is a god match to me considering that it creativity and innovation are 2 of the most important competencies leaders must possess. Creativity started way back during the first existence of humans on earth and has continuously evolved with innovations. We have to continuously create and innovate to ensure a sustained and thriving culture that is ever so changing. Through the process, it must consider social inclusion, non-discrimination in the VUCA world.

Absolutely, sessions were very insightful most particularly on a research based findings on neuroscience in brain, the highlighted champions of famous physchologists, founders, etc. as the well the characteristics of a leaders/managers who have fixed and growth mindsets. Thank you for this helpful course with amazing ideas, clear presentations and the pdf resources.

After taking this course, I realized that it is not enough to have high IQ, innate talents and abilities to be a good leader. Leaders should also be innovative and creative in order to maximize the potential of each member and of the community as a whole. It is necessary to rely on studies and research so that your decisions as a leader are data-driven. A very interesting and rewarding course! Thank you Madam Sivakami!

Being new in the preparation of innovations in the basic education processes, this course helped me to be more creative and innovative. Explanations as to how one becomes creative and innovative are very clear and informative. I am looking forward to integrate this course to my current job as a senior education program specialist for planning and research. Thank you very much that I was chosen as one of the recipients of UDEMY in our organization, the Department of Education in the Philippines, Imus City Division.

Great class. It was a really eye-opening for me. I've been working in an institution for around 9 years, during which I've switched departments a few times. Before, I thought that I was doing quite good, able to adapt to new environments and always deliver the outputs. However I realize now that I'd most likely end up being a fixed set employee (trapped in comfort zone & routines, and "believe" that I've done enough) unless I change some habits/mindset. In this case, I know that change doesnt happen overnight but I've made some notes and written down a few ideas that I hope will be a good start towards the change

I have mixed feelings about this course. From the title, I believed I would learn research-based ways to accelerate creativity and innovation, but this was mostly a historical perspective of research in the field and conclusions from that research. I also found the speaker's voice intonations and cadence odd and distracting, so perhaps I missed things because of that. Overall, I believe I learned a few things that I can apply or ask my manager about helping us apply.

A really good training that focuses on how the brain works, and how we can apply that knowledge to the work place. Great explanations on IQ, the brain and using them to propel forward in any environment. Love the part about IQ not being the main factor for creativity, and that luck can happen when preparation meets opportunity.

TLDR: I thought this course was about accelerating innovation & creativity, but all it did is lay out facts and not suggest ways to do so (except for the last section about redesigning offices in a way that people can gather around more frequently). A few pros: course instructor's delivery is engaging, topics covered are interesting. A few cons: course's title is misleading, very long videos for topics that would take half the time to cover, overall video quality isn't great, almost no ways to actually accelerate innovation & creativity were given, no real flow between sections, etc.
