I can relate completely to everything that is being shared. I find myself in a similar situation and can do with as much guidance as I can. I also did the women in leadership course as Stellenbosch University which was also a great help and made me really assess my situatoin.

This should not be used in the DOD NCU courses. Although the lecture does relay proper standard leadership strategies, it undermines Women in Leadership roles at the beginning of course. Women have to question their roles with other women when men can have sporting activities or even have feedback such as 'thanks man" when women sys thanks 'GF' And perceived differently. A BIAS.

The course is another eye opener to me. Why, because Lorraine presented the topics in a way that makes you see yourself in it. She's really up to the task. The need to 'be who you are in aspiring to women in leadership' is laudable. There's no need to pretend to be who you are not; else it will catch up with you in the future. Moreover, I have to respect myself first and foremost in order to gain respect from others. From her words of inspiration: I should always know I can do it. I have to be sure that I know my values and understand who I am and taking the risk to achieve results. Moreover, I must be sure to present myself as the person followers deem to follow
