The course itself is amazing, I have taken one other programming course for a different language and this instructor does an INCREDIBLE job explaining why we do things and wording it in ways that you can understand instead of always using computer jargon and assuming you have any idea what it means haha. Only issue I have really had is that some things have changed since the videos were made and since the main instructor just had a child (Congrats by the way) questions do not always get answered. Usually a quick google search has been enough to solve my problems but having a little better communication in the QnA section would be nice. Overall great java/Android course. I recommend it as long as you're not the type of person who really needs their hand held the entire time.

It's not focused on Android OREO. It's just a scam to attract buyers. It's based on Android Nougat. Does not fullfill what is advertised.

This is a course which takes you from beginning to the end. That is the best thing about it, it does not leave you in middle of something. Instructors are excellent as they know what concepts are important and they be to the point about all concepts they talk about. Much more real-life and engaging examples are real power of this course.

Highly Recommended, as i have worked on some other tools like HTML ,CSS,PHP, Bootstrap and i realized that it is a very nice course, I always tried to learn and clear OOP's concepts but never could keep in mind , in Java section of this course ,it cleared my doubts and set me to work on this platform, Nice way to teach logically and comparing different ways of doing the same job. It bounds me to Say thanks whole heatedly to both instructors for this "GREAT COURSE" Thank you 1. Fahd Sheraz 2. Paulo Dichone Your Student Imran Abbasi

One thing I would like to see in the later examples of basic Java concepts is an explanation of "why" and "when" I would want to use those concepts (for example, hashmaps). Overall a very good course so far, and I feel like it's giving me some basic background for what I'll need next month when I take my mobile app development course.

This is the second course I have taken from Paulo and I have to say that he is one of the best professors on Udemy. His hands-on approach to teaching is something that has help me greatly as a student as it almost feels like he's right there aiding us into completing each of the 12 apps. Though the knowledge that I have learn with this course and Paulo's previous course (Build 22 Apps with Android), I have been able to create and publish several app to the GooglePlay store and there's still more to come. Thanks Paulo!

Instructors present a very thorough coverage of android application development. There are numerous projects that are not only interesting, but that apply all the topics and techniques discussed in that section to help reinforce what you learned. Instructor also does a great job at explaining what he's doing along the way. Great course for the money!

By Charles Wells on 6/15/2017

The course is very thorough and has strong explanations for most issues but occasionally the instructor will introduce something new and give it no explanation forcing students to use outside resources to attempt to piece together bits of missing information from the course

By Christopher Biessener on 5/25/2017

This review is early and likely to change. So far, I like that the instructor is taking the time to explain even the little things and is having the student hand code everything. (The solutions will be provided if you truly get stuck.) I am learning the base knowledge necessary to eventually strike off on my own. Google's own "Developing Android Apps" course on a different website gives you already fleshed out projects and has you fill in a couple of TODOs. I wasn't learning _how_ to write an Android App, I was simply following step by step instructions. I look forward to the more advanced topics. Hopefully the level of instruction and understanding will remain the same.

This is most complete Android O course I've seen on the web, as it covers the big majority of the topics needed to make an app. It is well separated in small fragments of knowledge, so that you can understand step by step the parts integrated in your app. Paulo sets some goals and challenges as he encourages you to pause the videos and do it yourself before he solves them. This helps a lot, cause I believe in the learning by doing concept, as Confucius once said, "What I hear, I forget. What I see, I remember. But what I do, I understand". Besides, this course has examples of clones of professional apps like Flappy bird and this really can help you in the journey of making a great professional apps. Best android O and java course. I love it! Thanks Paulo & Fahd.
