outdated course instructor not updating the vids most of the advanced information is deprecated

This is the 3rd course I've taken with Paulo as the instructor and they have all been 5 stars.

I do evrything as in video (with newer version of intelliJ) and when creating new project I do have other layout and options then in video.

I consider this guy the best Android Instructor on Udemy to the point even I see a bad rating on his course I will still buy. His teachings style is fun, concise, understandable, beginner friendly and Industrial recommendable. He is the best.

The lecturer doesn't have a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Do not recommend.

Good Match. I already know some programming but want to learn more.

Paulo is very easy to understand for a beginner. Before this course, I had about 40 hours of training(logged my hours of fishing around / studying on youtube and internet) When I say 40 hours, I mean that prior to my 40 hours of Kotlin and Android Studio, I have ZERO experience in Kotlin, ZERO experience in Android Studio, ZERO experience in Application Development and ZERO experience in the IT industry...
Paulo breaks everything down with his good personality. Highly reccomend this course for beginners!

Great Course and tutor is very knowledgeable

The course is ok, though it clearly is not targeted at people with extensive Android experience, or even mobile experience.
I particularly regret two points.
- I would have much preferred a format with a summary video at the end of each section, going through the lesson's essentials in five to ten minutes. Having to slog through hours of slow detailing, even at double speed, to make sure no stone stays unturned is a real pain.
- I understand Paulo's objective in getting people to write code, but I feel some of the techniques taught are risky, like the ubiquitous use of the double exclamation mark. In real life, fast-fail/assertive use of !! will get your users leaving bad reviews of your app.
On the other hand, I liked the way Paulo explains the basics in different ways over and over, which I feel must help tremendously the beginner.
I'll recommend this course for my trainees and any friend wishing to start Android programming.
I'd advise a quick look into Peter Sommerhoff's course to polish skills acquired with paulo's.

its good your skills are like a professional . i watched your android development with java as well with kotlin the only thing you could have covered in these tutorials was how to send notifications outside our app the way see notifications in watsapp outside the app whenever some one types a message

I am all the way to section 6 of this course, and I got to say you are a great teacher! I love the slow tone, calm, and relaxed teaching. It shows that you really know your stuff. As well, everything is straight forward. I noticed that you stay on point the entire way through each lesson. It's a good thing because some teachers drift off point or add to much stuff on one topic which doesn't help a student when they are a newbie. I am considered a newbie since I only have 6 months in python programming but the good thing is that I understand Kotlin very well from your teachings! Thank you.
