Great course for somebody who already knows Java programming and wants to learn Kotlin. The speed of the explanations is suitable for programmers only, which was perfect for me as opposed to other beginner courses.

Explains the content quite simply and fast enough so that is very useful. I like the practical approach of the course

Really a good course on the basics of Kotlin. This is primarly meant for people who are already know Core Java or Android development. I could gather a lot of information. Always search in paralalell the Kotlin docs of these topics, so that you will be more in context. There are a few extra things in documentation that are not included in the course.

The course was very informative.

Even if is a great introduction, I expected to see more complicated scenarios. I would expected to see a full project in Kotlin, deployed in some environment rather than simple examples in one class.
Anyway, thanks for the course, for sure I cannot say that is not useful, just not so useful as I've expected.

As an experienced developer but new to Kotlin, I appreciate that this course goes through the basics of the language features through to the advanced and doing so quickly and comprehensively. It highlights the things I need to know rather than bore through programming basics I already know (unlike some other Kotlin courses I previewed). I often go through many lectures of other courses at 2X speed, but here with its conciseness, I need to lower the speed to 1.5X, lol! I find the instructor clear and organized and the "live" coding that he does is to the point.

yes

If you put "{" on a new line, you are not software developer. No one in the business does that!

By Nawar Khoury on 3/3/2020

it is a great course for a java developer to get familiar with kotlin quickly

Ok, went through the course. Clearly this is not really for beginners. One needs to be a complete pro in software development already, in order to pick this up and go. Very difficult to keep up and, definitely i need to go through the course again, and may be few times more. The speed i can control on the video player but speed explaining the concepts - i cannot slow those down. Explanations of concepts are very brief and very high level and super quick. I feel like everything Dmitry presents is relevant but there is not as much explanation, clarification and demystification of concepts, as I've expected. It's actually missing the "why would you do that vs. this" type of thing and "when would you use it". I feel like i am left with tons of question marks around my head... Because of that, i cannot rate this 5 stars. Otherwise, i think it's a good course, but as someone else has pointed out - good thing i did not pay the full price (got it on sale with coupon), otherwise i would be disappointed. Again, I dont think the real issue is with the course, but maybe with my limited experience and ability to grasp. I guess i am just not as smart.
So, if you are reading this review and you are new to software development, this course could be challenging for you. But, if you can get this on sale - go for it, as you will still get some solid knowledge to take away with you. In fact, if you are smarter than me, you might have no issues at all :). So, dont really read into my experience as much as you should read into the course material. :)
Regardless of how i felt during the course, i still want to thank Dmitry for this course!

Great course so far! Would be nice if the instructor would update the course once in a while. Courtines would be a nice supplement (-:
