The Complete C# and Object-Oriented Programming Course (Udemy.com)

While I have been programming in C# for a few years, it was from what I learned on my own when I didn't have to code projects in VB.Net. I always took the opportunity to write tools, utilities and user controls in C# to keep up my C# skills but always knew I needed to know more. I have basically been using vb.net since it was created and I was using all different versions of BASIC since the Z80 processor back in the early 1980's. Recently, I was laid off and decided to take the opportunity to formally learn C#. After taking this C# course, I can honestly say I have learned so much more than what I knew before. I have used asynch-wait and generics in VB.Net but now I know how to use them in C# as well. I also got to learn how to use the new Tuple and many other things. While there were a few mistakes in the coding session, I was able to see what they were and what they were meant to be. Actually, that made it more real world like because you OFTEN inherit, long-established software with long-existing bugs, just waiting to be discovered. Bugs are a part of programming. Thank you Mr. Ahmad Mohey for putting this course together.

Definitely worth the money. Especially if you want to see virtually all the different features offered by C#. The problem I had was it was like learning every word in the dictionary and then not being able to write a story. For a lot of the features it would be nice to see how they would be applicable in everyday life. Shakespeare wrote some pretty good stuff only using about 10% of the English words available. Maybe a course that designs a full stack application and then progressively reveals the things you need to make it happen.

Prior to signing up for this, I had been trying to learn C# programming from another course. I am thankful to Ahmad Mohey as this course not only reinforced my understanding but also taught me new concepts in the subject. I like the way important areas and key concepts were being repeatedly elucidated. Specially appreciate the coverage of why certain codes work in certain ways and the various options of doing it right. Appreciate Udemy for the great offer too! Looking forward to the next advanced C# programming by Ahmad. I am starting another registered course in C++ programming with Udemy. Thank you!

The course is good, but could be better. What I liked: - It covers all the basics of the language and some more. - The instructor is very pragmatic on the lectures and goes directly to the point. - All the resources from the lectures are available to download. What I disliked: - The instructor is a non-native english speaker and the accent shows. But the problem doesn't lie there, it lies on the auto-generated captions, which are very imprecise. It would be a lot better if it had manual captions. - The advanced sections sometimes feels like a bag of random topics instead of following a solid logic. In the end, I liked the course and would recommend it.

am very happy to site this very useful course and interesting one. i learned lot of now thing on c# that i did not know them before and its give me more encourage to learn more c# and concentrate all my app building in c#. Just one expectation that i did not see compatible with sql server because i am building a app for me school and i want build web site too in c#, i would love you to help me in that area i would be very much glad

Here in the end having abit mixed feelings on this. This is a ok course if you want listing on basics with C# but there were some confusing moments. Forexample stringBuilder in java was for concatenating strings in an efficient way (because strings are immutable) and here the instructor didnt mention at all about about this with C#. Also didnt understand atall about dlls when the instructor described this as "securing your code" where other instances are describing assemblies in C# as basic unit in deployment... Anyways the instructor seems to know about stuff but something was short with this course...

My review at the beginning was premature. He touches on some points very lightly because we want to get into doing things with C# as quickly as possible, this really isn't a course on compilers and interpreters in general, but all about C# and the .Net Framework and .Net Core. There is a LOT in here about making best use of the Visual Studio IDE. Even tho I had been using it for a very long time, there were all sorts of cool features available like code snippets which I had been ignoring and he shows how to easily make use of. The OOAD part of the course is pretty solid. There are a few details here and there about C#-specific stuff that you can still learn on your own, and he doesn't really get into the SOLID design principles at least in the first half of the course, but you will definitely learn how to create and work with object hierarchies, Properties, etc. At the midway point you are halfway thru the crucial collections lessons. He spends most of the time showing you HOW to create and use them, there is wisdom about how to choose the most appropriate one that may come in another course or you may bring to this course if coming from another object-oriented language. He definitely keeps the momentum going as he introduces and familiarizes you with all the basics. One thing I like about the course is that within all of the solid basics of pure C# he manages to sprinkle in cool little things you can do in Visual Studio to save time and things like being able to change the foreground and background colors in the console etc. Any course that would claim to teach you everything about programming would either be a million hours long or is just lying, but honestly I am pretty impressed what a comprehensive introduction to all of modern C# this is. I definitely feel that if you understand this you will be in a very good position to calmly and casually pick up any missing details from the C# docs on docs.microsoft.com -- many people would have been just lost or confused if they tried to start there without this course bringing you thru all of that basic knowledge in a friendly, positive, cheerful way. The balance between fun but overly superficial introduction, and OCD presentation that drowns you in so many details you forget what you are even trying to do is very good here, pretty much avoiding both unpleasant ends of that spectrum.

This was a great course for learning C# and debugging! I've tried to learn C# for a while, but couldn't find the right course to explain concepts that I struggled with. After taking this course, I feel like I finally understand C#. The instructor was very clear, to the point, and gave good exercises that helped to cement the concepts. He did a great job explaining things. I'm very happy that I took this course and feel great about learning more C# concepts. Great job Ahmad and keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the course. It's comprehensive and covers most of everything you'd want to know about C# and .NET. There's plenty of exercises and assignments in the course to help reinforce lessons. The course could be improved with the addition of a course project, but the instructor has assured that there will be another course forthcoming that will cover this. I recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn more about C# and the .NET framework.

I have two small issues with this course so far : 1) I understand English is not the instructor's native language so he should've recorded his voice properly, speaking more clearly. It's hard to understand him at times. 2) The exercises are great but the "big picture" is not explained. For example in "Country exercise" I don't get the practical point of it all. A concise intro with the desired output ( in practical terms - why would we want this application ) should've been made.

So far, the course is good but the subtitles are very inaccurate.
for example: C# in the subtitles is seashore
