OLD Course description:
No better time than now, and only increasing
With WordPress powering more than 25% of all websites in the world, there's never been a better time to build an income and a business around it.
You're here because you want to master WordPress, right? Good idea. You're in the right place. And, you can do it without learning any programming or coding.
While WordPress is open source, and because of that has thousands of developers building resources for it, it still takes quite a bit of learning to become a master at building and managing websites with it. It's not just learning the WordPress software, there's a small amount of graphic design knowledge needed, hosting and server management, troubleshooting broken sites or problems by hacking into the back end and server setup, and properly staging development environments around new sites or when performing updates and changes on existing sites.
"What a great course! Good explanation and a lot to learn, friendly and very quick support. I'm only at the beginning and I'll leave another review later after I finished this course. I'm sure there is much more to learn!" --Adriene

--Mohamed Fawmey Mohamed Vinodh
Many of my best and biggest clients have come from "abandoned" WordPress websites, where the client's website designer or developer has left the scene. My ability to get in and restore, fix, redesign, and continue to manage WordPress websites brings me lots of instant and recurring income.
You'll learn how to do all this in 20 hours of easy-to-follow video content, fun lessons and challenges.
During this course, you'll learn everything you need to know to start or improve your own WordPress website business.
The WordPress Ecosystem
"Straight forward and neat! Just what I need to step up the freelancing ladder. Highly recommended." --Mr. Graciano Jose Reyes
It's probably no surprise to you that the WordPress community has thousands of really talented and creative developers, designers and technologists working within it. And you may know that much of their work is available as open-source resources that will enable you to build your own business.
The open-source philosophy doesn't mean that no one makes any money. On the contrary, by sharing much of what we, as a community, create, we all prosper much, much more, because we all share in expanding what's possible with WordPress.
By spending zero-to-little money, you can stand on the shoulders of those who came before you, to create your own business niche, by learning the skills and secrets presented in this course.

Gregg Davis
Hey! I'm Gregg Davis. I'm a teacher and a student, an artist and an athlete. You might call me a self-taught computer geek.
Working with computers has always been playtime for me, since the 1980's when, as a kid, I would see what I could do with a Radio Shack TRS-80, writing little games in BASIC.
I'm a long-term skateboarder and a nationally-recognized snowboard instructor and coach, and I've been creating websites for clients since 1996. In snowboarding, I've been teaching students for 25 years and studying teaching and learning in my own professional development. I started building websites exclusively with WordPress in 2006 and I've built a thriving business using open-source and inexpensive tools.
By leveraging other people's awesome code and software, I've been able to create a business that provides chunks of instant income from creating websites, and recurring and ongoing income through hosting and managing website for clients.
The freedom that this business offers is truly amazing.
The demand for reliable and consistent website design and management is only growing - and WordPress is the most popular platform in the world. Powering more than 40% of all the websites across the entire internet, supported by thousands of developers who are creating open-source code you can leverage and use in your business, there's no better platform.

In fact I am short of words. This course is more than learning WordPress website development. It's a comprehensive course that thought a lot about WordPress website development, themes, plugins, hosting services, website and hosting security, multiple website management and also business part on how to start earn from it. Gregg is a unique and excellent instructor he literally took me from zero knowledge of WordPress to top top. Even before completing the course I had already successfully built 12 websites that really amaze my friends and family. This is the best online course I had ever taken and I am waiting eagerly for Gregg's next course. Gregg is my hero. The knowledge I acquired from this course was far higher than the price I paid for it. Thank you Greg, you are an excellent instructor. Your ability to explain things in details is remarkable and commendable.

Ok, I'm getting a little nervous about my investment. 18 videos straight on how to install Wordpress on various Platforms! When do we actually get onto Wordpress?? Update: After the sales pitches, the course moves on and there is relevant and valuable information conveyed. Well worth sticking with it.

Great Course, Some of dislikes was the manual file updates rather than an automated method if possible, like installing a plugin rather than opening htdocs and what not, was nice to know but not very efficient unless there is no other method But what i wouldve really liked to have since this is a "Complete Wordpress" course is a video on how this website would like on the organic search engine after all that work, and maybe what Yoast SEO does. Otherwise, great course and its a step by step walk through and practicle course to anyone wanting to hopefully learn wordpress

I have chosen to rate this course after watching the course videos up to lesson 29. Just wanted to get a feel of the richness of the tutorial. This is the scope of web design that I was wishing for. Enough exposure to give me the knowledge and confidence I need to work with WordPress, and have a broad enough understanding of a development environment. In the past I tried out many web design websites, and many are good at giving basic info on how to create a really small and simple website, leaving out most of the core technical or near technical every day knowledge you will need for operating as a web design business. Not this course. After watching 29 of the videos, I came to the conclusion, this is the course for those who want to be able to design websites with a professional outlook, whether they simply want to be able to have good enough control of their web design environment or they want to design websites for others. This is awesome and I sure am enjoying the ride. Good job Gregg!

Gregg Davis is an excellent instructor. I believe this is the go-to WP course on Udemy. The lessons cover everything in great detail and are structured well. You can clearly tell that the instructor possesses great knowledge about the matter at hand. Although this course was mostly made in 2016, it's very applicable to present-day WordPress. Gregg is still answering questions you might have and does it with genuine enthusiasm and a desire to help his students. In conclusion, this course gives you tremendous value for the time and money invested. P.S. Gregg is also a skateboarder which I found quite funny because I imagined him solely as a business person/WP developer due to him being very focused when delivering lessons (ashamed of my one-dimensional view of him) but clearly, he is passionate about other non-WP-related things!

This course is a good review of many basic Word Press development skills and provides a lot of new information about many facets of becoming a professional Word Press developer. While the material covered is not all encompassing, and an aspiring developer must also consult other sources, the amount and breadth of the information is impressive. Gregg is a very good teacher; his thinking is clear and easy to follow. I especially like the fact that Gregg is active in the Q & A section of the course.

Too long, too slow, but very detailed. I learned some basic HTML,CSS and basic PHP before from The complete Web Developer Course by Rob Percival. I succeeded to set up a basic blog, but I was confused about many parts. I wanted to learn wordpress in depth, and this course just released ,it seemed good, and Rob Percival was shown as an instructor, too, so I signed up. I took a 7 days of vacation focused on this course and hoped that I could become a master of wordpress. But it didn't came true. The way he explained things are too detailed. Some materials were very confusing to me.But since I was cramming for it, perhaps that's why I cannot absorb it well. After that, I forgot most things what he taught. The only thing I remember was a plugin called "all in one migration". I felt those 7 days of vacation were totally wasted. It was very frustrated. Now I'm rewatch this course. To learn how to use ecommerce plugin better. It's better to play it 1.5 times speed, even 2.

The course is quite informative and well explained but it was marginally tough to understand or grasp the accent of Gregg, also he spoke too quick plus the lectures were too lengthy at times (10+ minutes) plus sometimes it was a bit too deep for a novice person to understand but other than that for the major part of the course it was a cakewalk.
