Course Description
Finally, my WPF Guide For Beginners is available to you :)
A lot of my students from the C# Masterclass course asked me to build a WPF course, and here we go, the course is live now and you can get it now and update your skills along with learning something new and potentially affecting your career as a developer.
The course will cover everything you need to know about the Windows Presentation Framework (WPF). You will learn what XAML is and how it is used to create modern interfaces with the help of C#.
You will build a Windows store application that makes use of interface items most commonly in use today!
We are even going to use the incredible third-party library Mah-apps, which allows us to built beautiful windows metro-style applications.
What you will find inside the course?
You will start with the Basics of WPF with simple controls, panels, things like buttons, and text fields to ease you into the topic and showing you how XAML works.
Then you will get the demos and presentations covering more complex topics such as
Custom User Controls
Data Binding
Events and Delegates
Animations
Commands
and Navigation
And of course, we will build something huge together. In my courses, you not only learn something, but you use it in practice, so we will build a Windows store application UI that makes use of interface items most commonly in use today.
Also, be sure, we will be here for you on every step, starting with my explanations and additional materials with step-by-step instructions and afterward, if you will have troubles or questions - we will answer them in the Q&A section.
Are you ready to become an even better developer? Are you ready to be equipped with amazing new skills? And become much more valuable for your employer or your customers? Then join me in this WPF journey

Very interesting course, I learned a lot. Personally I prefer to have smaller more focused topics/demo applications instead of the very big / length Store application. Smaller apps are easier to follow when I follow the course in many smaller time blocks. So I prefer the style of the controls section. I am also missing a few controls: tree, progress-bar, notifications... And maybe smaller demos about how most often used UI tricks could be made yourself: like sliding side panels, floating+dockable panels, multilanguage aspects, theming without external libs. This would make the course even better in my opinion.

The course was really good. A lot of content with plenty of exercises to apply the knowledge gained. Unfortunately, some of the videos were cut off abruptly, and it appears the creator is no longer responding to questions. But the course is time well spent for an introduction to WPF, especially since there aren't many courses available these days that provide a thorough introduction to WPF.

Everything is almost perfect, but - there are some elements, which are being used, but not explained - why they are being used this way, why they are here. Especially some functions, keywords. There are only shown being used in particular context - but we don't know if we can use them in other programs, and how we can do this.

This course was great. It included a lot of extremely useful knowledge in a way that was very easy to understand and follow along. My two main gripes were that the teacher would sometimes do the same thing differently without explaining why. (Example, sometimes he would set the width of a control by using 1* when it already would have taken up that much space by default, other times he would just leave it without a width and allow it to use up that space by default.) My other complaints is the "Taking care of the search field click events" chapter ends abruptly without finishing the lesson. Fairly minor complaints, but it kept it from being 5 stars. Overall, this course is a great place to learn about the WPF framework.

This is a great course for learning WPF. However, it's a shame that the program is based on DotNet Framework 4.8 rather than 5.0, and that there's no mention of MVVM.

The most amazing course I have completed and witnessed in a while .. Denis is super amazing teacher who really has deep knowledge about the topics , and knows how to provide this to his students in bite size thank you so much for creating this Denis , Big Fan!

Interesting content with little padding. The code along bits go quickly and needed to pause a lot, so budget for more time than expected. Denis explains topics clearly and provides "context" when necessary. I took this course because I have several others by the same author and enjoy his style.
By Bryan Robson on 9/12/2022
The course expanded well on the knowledge I had already gained from Denis' C# Masterclass course. I enjoyed the course a lot and have already starting putting what I have learned to use in my job.
By Jeff Blau on 5/26/2022
The content of this course is very good. I sometimes find it difficulta to keep up with the speed of the presentation while attempting to code the solution in-situ. Howevwer, I think the fact that it is difficult to understandstand why some parts of the program are not woroking the first time is OK because I learn from correcting my mistakes....
By Marek Piotrowski on 3/10/2022
There is so much new knowledge that can be fully assimilate in the field only. Thank you for the course! One year later: I stand by my rating of this course. The most-bought course on WPF in Udemy is a tragedy. The only minus is for not using MVVM. But the coverage of WPF topics is great.
