I think this is a reasonable starter course for concepts relating to starting your own business and what might happen during startup. However, a lot of the introductory topics are basic information you can probably find yourself online and need follow up with a professional such as a lawyer or a business strategy team. In the second half of the course, which included interviews with a lawyer, the overall course impact declined. The lawyer did not seem that knowledgeable, was bored most of the time, and it looks like they filmed the interviews from inside a bathroom curtain. Needs some production quality improvements.

This course is a great choice because the explanations are clear and easy to understand, but it has a lot of text within the slides. However, I loved the first topics when we discussed the main differences with several company structures.

Finally! A course that goes into details of all the things needed for an llc. Man I was so afraid to even start a business in fear someone would sue me over nonsense, thankfully a lot of my misconceptions got cleared with this course. For the future, I would like to see a course on holding companies or series llc or both.

I want to start a business and though I have some knowledge, I found this class to be very informative. It taught and also brushed on some of the material I already knew. for the price, it's great. it's a learning opportunity so why not? the class was organized very well. He is clear and I did not have anything to complain about. loved it!

PACKED full of information on law, in general terms, then specific. I really liked the in-depth conversations and advice. After defining business law terms, topics included Delaware registration, internet privacy, NSA, social media at work, patents/trademarks and how to protect your ideas, advice on hiring a lawyer (or even whether to hire one), and much more. There's a lot here!

seems slow and wandering, should look at the camera and talk to me.. but its early

By Mark Sewell on 2/3/2018

The course is okay, but some of the content/questions don't seem to be well planned and make me want to question if the advise is good.

By Ray Erickson on 11/23/2015

I wanted to know what a corporation and LLC were. This explained it. I heard a lot about Delaware, and this put that in perspective. Last, I wondered about the employee v. contractor issue. When my expand my business, now I kinda know what to expect. Thanks.

I am Canadian, but I found this useful. There are similarities between the US and Canada, and I think there was much useful here. I liked the explanation of differences between and "LLC" and a corporation and the various "formalities." I also liked the part about hiring a lawyer. That information is universal.

By Daryn Wynn on 7/6/2015

I thought the information in this course was really good. I really liked the differences among the different types of businesses. One of the things I did like is the Delaware business discussion. I think it's a little silly that investors often require that, but that's the way it goes. The course at least explained why that is. I think my only "complaint" is that it is A LOT of information. That's the only reason I might have given it 4 instead of 5 stars.
