This course contains very useful and practical information for anyone who is thinking of creating a Udemy course. I like it because all the instructions are straight to the point, and very clear both in terms of explanation and sound (i.e. pronunciation and quality of sound itself). The course is also pretty exhaustive covering the most critical points from teaching to marketing, copywriting, speaking and more. Very useful, as I keep referring to this course every now and again as I create my own courses. The instructor also practices what he preaches in his course (i.e. regarding clarity, how to explain concepts, etc.)

This is an amazing course on the topic of creating amazing courses! Most course creation instruction seems to focus on technology, but this course also covers in-depth less-understood but more important concepts such as strategies for maximizing sales within the Udemy environment. After nervously launching my first course 2 months ago, I feel the need to update this review. My course, "Up and Running with Concurrency in Go" is currently the highest rated, top earning, best selling, 2nd most popular, and "Featured" course in my category. I have more than 5000 students and lots of positive reviews. I followed the "Blueprint" and it works. And by the way, I haven't even implemented the sales funnel and other great sales strategies yet. And lastly, I didn't have an existing audience, no "inner circle", not a single contact that I could call on when I started. I started from ZERO. Follow the advice in this course. It works.

Nice and engaging course! Can be made much better with a little more hand holding and lengthy content especially when it comes to the marketing funnels for the course as that's precisely where new course creators lack skills. Would have been really more useful if more information had been shared on SEO website , FB, amazon etc. I felt the course lacked more body. In all a course that falls into a "Good, what i expected" category, thanks!

this guy is a pro. sometimes i like more elaboration and explanation and examples. He focused alot on becoming as clear and brief which is great. i appreciate somewhat of a conversational tone (which was there and human) but more of a story sorta thing, like you're having a conversation witha friend and not an information BLAST. a welcomed one indeed. but a blast none the less.

The instructor clearly knows what he is talking about and knows the Udemy system well. He walks the talk and has a proven track record. Perhaps a lecture to further elaborate on pricing strategies would be good. How much per hour should the course cost? Should the course automatically be priced at $200 eventually after the initial promo period? Overall, very good strategic overview of how to 'do' Udemy!

This has been great so far. The course I am creating has almost no competition in the market but I want it to be engaging because it is very dry material. Edit: Finished all 84 modules! This might be the first time for any Udemy course. There is a good mix of ideas and material in this course so if you are planning to get into course making yourself, I'd recommend to start here.

Thank you Rob for this very well structured and different course than the ones I could follow on Udemy. Lots of strategies, pedagogical concepts, tricks: this is what I was looking for and this is what I found. On the other hand, if there is one thing I will do differently (yes, I will create my courses), it is to show the learner my face. You have the art of cultivating secrecy about your image but I think it's important to SEE who's talking. So, I'm going to get to work now. Good Course, especially the marketting part had valuable information for me. Also the brevity & clarity was really on point in this course what helped a lot to go through many hours. I also liked the step by step approach for some things you explained like course launch. Things that could be better are - More showing of the ''manual work'' instead of the theorethical 'thinking' work. I have a good idea what the best strategy is for me, but it is harder for me to make my vision a reality. That part 'from idea to course', how to do the routine/manual stuff, i missed a little bit. (not for marketting part, only had this feeling for the ''making a course'' part.

This is a good course to watch after watching more nuts-and-bolts courses offered by other instructors. This course is unlike the others I've taken in that it provides more insight into the psychology of teaching and marketing Udemy courses, rather than (with some instructors) the mechanics or (with others) the presentation style. One deficit is that there are very few opportunities to try out the information, and no downloadable resources to use as quick references to the lectures. There are a lot of lectures here, and it would be really helpful to have a summary of the slides or some other way to refresh my memory about the materials covered so I don't have to watch the course again when I'm working on my own course. A PDF of the slides, for instance, would have been really useful, as would worksheets along the way to make sure we understand the material.

Rob was outstanding. The course far exceeded my expectations. It is very much in line and consistent with a lot of information out there by top marketers charging much more for this type of content. A lot of relevant information even if you do not choose to host your course on Udemy. I chose this course to understand how top Udemy instructors organize their courses. I am amazed at the level of expertise and delivery. If you are thinking about it, stop thinking and buy it! It's a no-brainer for those who want to create courses on Udemy or host their own.
