Want To Learn Docker In Under 90 Minutes?

Tired of 30+ hour-long deep-dive courses and complex reading material just to get started on Docker?

Docker is not only getting more popular and in demand, Docker is the MOST FUNDAMENTAL DEVOPS SKILL you need. It’s a MUST HAVE to get started in Industry.

Chances are, you’re busy and don’t have the time to get frustrated over these 30-hour deep-dive courses. Trying to make sense of complex theory and wasting hours of time without any hands-on experience.

If you want to know enough to get started and work with Docker as quickly as possible, this is the course for you.

Hi, I’m TJ Addams.

With nearly 10 years in IT project roles, I spent a lot of time teaching over 16,000+ people on- and offline. So they can become ready to use their skills in production, even without prior experience.

I simplify all the processes new students need to understand. And I provide a clear roadmap on what to learn to produce results fast.

Everything I teach is based on what is used in industry and cutting out what isn’t.

I operated in lead support roles to Project Sponsors, Platform Engineers, Solutions Architects, Developers, and Testers & have worked with UK Government partners to develop real-time systems underpinned by Terraform. I also have operated in diverse sectors including consulting, technology services and digital transformation; private online healthcare; and biomedical research.

This allows me to bring you unique insights way beyond the trivial "hello world" type of examples...

... coupled with lots of demos, tips, and advice on how it’s used in industry. I cover the nitty-gritty to help you stand out from the crowd and learn the things most engineers don't even know about.

Zero-To-Expert In Just Over 90 Minutes

Did you know that companies use Kubernetes for managing Docker in production? Yep, no Docker Swarm.

So how smart would it be to learn something you’ll never use? Not smart at all. What should you focus on instead?

This is what this course is all about. To get you up to speed with the essentials quickly from the ground up, even if you have zero prior experience.

Specifically, you’ll gain a solid understanding of how to work with Docker images, containers, repositories, and some of the most advanced Docker image manipulation tricks of the industry that only a few engineers know about.

90% Hands-On / 10% Theory / 0% Wasting Time

Ever heard of “death-by-PowerPoint”? It’s where you watch slide after slide while trying your best not to fall asleep. We’ve all been there. And this course is far different from it.

It’s a clear and up-to-date course on what Docker concepts you need to know to get started with your own Docker project today.

Broken down into manageable, simple step-by-step videos you can follow along

to be as approachable as possible especially when you start from scratch.

Instead of simply consuming theory like an info junkie, you’ll gain plenty of hands-on experience by completing small quizzes and challenges throughout this course.

In fact, this course was specifically designed to provide you with lots of practical examples and get you ready and working with Docker in no time even if you’re completely new.

Plus, I included tips & questions to get you prepped for even the most difficult interviews and show off your skills.

What You’ll Get In This Course

  • Expert Level Docker knowledge

  • Rock-solid understanding how it works

  • Best tips and tricks of the industry

  • Hands-on challenges to put your new skills to the test

  • 1.5h of on-demand training

  • Interview prep and questions included

  • A 30-day 100% money-back guarantee

If you are an advanced user, this course will help you to remind you 95% of the common use cases to create docker images, it does not cover how to compile each of the different programming languages, but let's face it, every language has its way, in addition, they have different build tools, and that's probably 1 command to add to the RUN line. I liked this course pretty much, straight to the points.

Pros: 1. The course is crisp and to the point. It's a no-nonsense course. 2. No unnecessary mentions of docker networks, docker swarms. This seems practical as in real world we are gonna be using k8s anyways. Cons: 1. This is not a beginner friendly course. It is helpful in case you already know atleast some of it and are taking this course as a refresher. 2. Some topics like multi-stage pipelines should have been explored more 3. A bit of Jenkins intro could've been thrown in the end - to let the audience know that Docker and Jenkins are used in conjunction in real world.

It was a good course to get started with docker fundamentals. Within the span of this course, we are introduced to several docker commands. We also learn how to pull images from docker hub and push images to docker hub. We also learn how to mount a volume onto docker. So overall a great course. The only suggestion I would like to give is that some of the commands which are taught in this course are slightly older. And some of the commands did not work for me on Windows. So I had to look up for alternatives online.

It is a good hands-on course. It was difficult to catch on with instructors accent at some places. Auto captions are helpful. It provides you what is stated in the course description. The assignments were good. The only complain is at some places this course need to be updated or atleast a note has to be attached in the lectures. some of the codes are not working now. so has to do debugging it took a lot of time.

Hi! I really liked the idea of having clear and brief training where there was not a lot of fluff just to make the course long. The main issue, is that I spent a lot of extra time hashing through and trying to fix outdated portions of the training to get them to run. Some I could not even get to go. I know that people will say that a programmer just needs to look it up on line. That's fine, but a training class shouldn't be this way as it disrupts the learning. The content really needs to be updated so that all the labs work - and I realize that is an undertaking. All in all, thanks! I did learn some, but I wish the course was more up to date.

This course was excellent as I had no prior experience with Docker and the layout of this course allowed me to easily follow what was being presented. I totally appreciated the ability to try the different challenges and the explanations that followed each challenge. I was also surprised with how concise the course was and how quickly I moved from not knowing anything about Docker to actually being able to understand and navigate the basics. Kudos to TJ for the excellent delivery of this course.

I have review other beginner docker videos and this video manages give a comprehensive understanding of how docker works without confusing with distracts cute diagrams. Who said individuals learn better with cute graphics. This tutorial allows you to sink your teeth in vm concepts where you can see yourself getting up and running quickly.

I originally was not a fan of the course, however, it's short. I was learning docker for the first time and maybe it was going a little too fast for me. I sat down and redid the course in one day and things started to really click. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to learn docker. it would be nice to seem some implementation, deploying to AWS or something, I know that might be for a later course.

By Jarad Collier on 4/17/2021

It was good and what I expected. I believe it over-promises a bit that you'll be a Docker "expert" / "master" by the end of it because that's not a realistic expectation in a FAST-TRACK course. I liked the recap at the end. It was simple and reviewed basically the big take-aways. I felt like I did know the answers only because of taking this course so I did learn something. I think the "Advanced" section was kind of lacking. I wasn't looking for anything advanced, but the examples weren't great and "Advanced" basically meant reducing a docker image size (I guess) with a few bits of advice. Anywho, this course was a good primer for beginners like myself and a good stepping-stone in my Docker journey. I will move on now to more Docker courses to concrete the concepts in this course, and pick up some that I didn't learn in this course.

Excelente curso, va directo al grano. Además explica de forma práctica conceptos engorrosos de entender desde la ayuda o manual de docker. Excellent course, it goes straight to the point. It also explains in a practical way concepts that are difficult to understand from the help or docker's manual.
