VMWare for Absolute Beginners (Udemy.com)

As a begginer course, it's great indeed. Just be aware that only the lab setup onwards is the part that is worth from here. Nevertheless any curious person could achieve the same that is thought here but, its good to have a guidance.

It was interesting as I already knew a lot about vurtualisation. Issues covered in depth. Minimum hardware requirements/OS stated at beginning of course would be good. Eg I managed to install the ESXi server on an old desktop but could not run a nested vm. (Yes the Hardware is old) . Overall I found it very useful

VMWare for Absolute Beginners is an introductory course on Virtualization. The main focus of the course is to help to set up a lab environment for virtualization. The steps involved in setting up a "hybrid" lab environment for virtualization using the VMware and VSphere ESXi tools are explained. In my opinion, a certain level of complexity is unnecessarily introduced in this beginner course by solely focusing on building a hybrid (i.e., VMware + ESXi) lab environment. It is possible to set up a lab environment for virtualization with just VMware. This option should have been covered in the course first and before venturing into building a hybrid environment using VMware and ESXi which is more meaningful in a corporate context. I communicated with the instructor for clarification on the options available for setting up a lab environment for virtualization and he was very prompt to respond and provide me the required clarifications.

The Vshere was impossible for me to find after a couple of hours of searching. This made me unable to follow along with what the video was doing on my own laptop. Edit: I was able to email the instructor and receive the download file no problem. I would recommend.

I'm not new to virtualization and I've already used VMware Workstation in the past, but I was looking for something to start learning the basics of VMware enterprise virtualization. This course was a good starting point, indeed. Good job.

Appreciated this course. It was easy to understand easy to follow all steps during the Virtual Machine installation. English is not my native language but was not difficult at all to understand as the teacher speaks clearly and slowly. The only thing that I can say it is during the ESXI server installation I got some errors messages, I could managed it by reasaerching on google but it would be good if teacher can provide some details about the most common issue students can encounter or redirect us to the VMware support website. Otherwise everthing was perfect. Thank you

Das ist der zweite Kurs von Imran, den ich absolviere. Der Kurs ist kompakt, gut strukturiert und gut verständlich. Imran schweift nicht ab, sondern kommt immer zum Punkt. Er führt seine Kursteilnehmer durch Downloads, Installationen und Konfigurationen, und erinnert immer wieder anschaulich, was getan wird und was das Ziel ist. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. I'm watching this as a very old hand at virtualisation to see if I would recommend it to someone starting out. Some concepts I would steer away from, like keeping snapshots for a month. Definitely bad practice that. Overall not bad, though

I'm just being introducted to VMWare and so far this information is very useful. In my current environment We have implemented virtualization but I did not play a role. However, I have heard all the terms used and how the resources were allocated. Now it becoming clear to me.

I liked the step by step setup and commentary. I did notice that some of your audio files are only playing through the left audio channel though? I'm using earbuds to listen to this, and often only wear my right one and though my headphones died for a minute until I tried the left one. Lol thank you for the course!
