Course Description

Do you want to be a professional 3D artist for video games or movies?

Do you just want to learn to sculpt the human figure?

Do you want to draw people from imagination?

  Then you need this course.

Hey, I'm Neil Fontaine, a professional artist with years of experience working in the industry, and I have been teaching human anatomy for artists for over 10 years. What are you going to learn?

In this course we learn to sculpt all the muscles onto the human skeleton. We learn each muscles shape and where the muscle attaches to the bones. Then we sculpt the skin and fat on top of that. In doing this, you learn the human figure like you just cannot learn by drawing.

This will not only set you down the path to being a professional sculptor for doing characters for games and such, but also it will give you the 3D knowledge you need to draw and paint figures like a pro. All the great painters knew how to sculpt.

You will learn how to use Blender, which is a free 3D program and is great for sculpting.

By the end of this course, you will be confident in sculpting or drawing the body in proper proportions. You will be a master at muscles and where they attach. You will be able to sculpt or even draw the human figure from imagination.

You will be sculpting the female figure from primitive shapes like a pro.

We will sculpt a dynamic figure from a classic sculpture, learning how to start with a base Daz Studio model, then importing into Blender and sculpting on it.

We will do a sculpture of Hellboy.

Then as a bonus, we will do a sculpture of Heman as an old man in Zbrush. However, you can sculpt him in Blender if you do not have access to Zbrush.

Just the Heman section or just the Hellboy section is worth the price of the whole course.

Money back guarantee, upheld by Udemy’s high standards.

I designed this 22 hour course for students that want to be a professional character designers or they just want to sculpt or draw the human figure from imagination, so what are you waiting for? Let's get started.

Instructor Details

Neil Fontaine

I'm a best selling author on Amazon for "How to Draw Awesome Figures."

I studied art at different schools, one of them being a community college in San Jose, Ca. Over the years, subjects in art finally clicked. I teach these subjects in ways that make it easy to grasp. It's hard to brag about myself, but students have written me emails saying how they have learned more from me than they did in art schools, art schools such as Academy of Arts in San Franscico. That blew my mind because it's supposed to be a great school.

I also sell abstract paintings that I painted while meditating. A recent painting sold for $10,963. If enough art students ask, I will make a course on how to abstract paint. You can see my paintings at saatchiArt

I'm also a writer that has sold novels.

Nice I loved How Tutor shown Step by Step Single Muscle Sculpting and most important tutor shown how muscle are being layered.

The information is what's most important, which Neil clearly knows his stuff when it comes to anatomy. There are plenty of tutorials on using Blender. I like Neil's teaching style so this course is a must own for me.

By Hjorm on 7/26/2024

The course is OK for me because it allows me to bypass the matter of sorting through all the muscles to e.g. understand which muscle groups are on top of which, and the instructor seems to know his anatomy, but at the same time he doesn't seem to be all that comfortable with blender as a tool and the course has pacing issues.

Great work but speaker does things without explanation

By Syden De Oliveira on 4/23/2024

it needs more explanation

By Vikas on 3/16/2024

I appreciate the effort put into creating it. However, I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the quality of both the video and audio. It seems that there are areas for improvement in terms of clarity and resolution, which could enhance the overall viewing experience. Additionally, while the explanation provided is valuable, there may be an opportunity to optimize the pace to ensure it's engaging for viewers. I believe with some adjustments, the content could be even more impactful and enjoyable for your audience.

It is a very good course in anatomy, I really enjoyed that part, however I am sorry to say that the blender part was disappointing. Thank you anyways

Sound quality is a bit off, but it's a nice tutorial! I like the structure and that you go back to reference images!
