Course Description

This test used to be called the Magento 2 Frontend Developer exam. With the Magento to Adobe transition, the test is now named: AD0-E701 Adobe Certified Expert-Magento Commerce Front-End Developer. The questions have not changed. The name and the time limit have changed.

This test covers all aspects of frontend development: layout XML, blocks, JavaScript, CSS and HTML (very little if any PHP). The test is comprised of 60 questions and 90 minutes to complete. To pass, you much achieve a score of 63% or higher. GUARANTEED? Yes, we will refund the money you paid for the study guide if you fail. However, having participated in writing this exam, just reading this study guide will not assure you of a passing score. You are spending $85 on a study guide for a $260 test, so it is important that you thoroughly study and practice.

Points worth noting:
The test can be taken at a testing center or at home. You must have a decent internet connection with at least 1MB up and down.
Magento encourages you to have at least 1.5 years of Magento 2 frontend development experience.

Study with SwiftOtter, their study guides are great and a paid test will help a lot. Read carefully through the materials, including the external resources which they refer to.

In this guide you will find most answers related to exam topics listed in official guide plus good links to external documentation and other websites.
Depending on whether I was familiar with it, I spent more or less time on different areas. On topics I didn’t have experience in, I tried to not only to read about them and learn passively, but also code some examples in a blank Magento 2 instance. I wanted to be sure I understood it practically and as we know, doing is the best way to learn.
You can also take the free (limited questions) or paid (more questions) Magento 2 frontend test created by Swiftotter. I think it’s always good to check how are you prepared by answering practice questions and this is a very convenient way of doing it
