Lots of wasted time. Lessons were too short and lots of repeating. Many of the lessons should have been combined in one lesson. Poor on substance and not enough content. Lacked good organization.

He explains every tool and what it does. Because of that, I am applying what I learned. I have taken classes that are more project based but I think we should understand the tools first before doing that. I highly recommend this course before any other illustrator class. I learned so much and I feel like I can use it on my own because I understand what the tools mean and their purpose.

I really liked the course. It got me much more familiar with the program and its possibilities. I can now experiment with the tools in a much more efficient manner and will use Illustrator for my figures from now on. I would have liked to have some exercises to be done after each lesson to practice what was learnt at that moment. But I guess that's up to me now. Thank you! Great course!

This is excellent course to get started using adobe illustrator, i use illustrator in my day job for replicating artworks / logos & setting them up for printing processes, i am fairly familar with various tools etc but didn't know of the quick work arounds or shortcuts to using some of the tools & effects, i've learned lots of cool tips & tricks that i never knew before from watching the videos & am already putting them to use when at work, it has greatly increased the speed & efficiency of the workflows i use as a result, these tricks will also be useful now on personal projects outside of work as i want to use more of the program for comic book creation, colouring & inking methods also, i highly recommend this course for all users of the program.

What a great lecturer! It becomes an easy process to learn when you DON'T have a teacher with a monotone voice or bad audio, and Andy certainly talks with a lot of colour and life. Most enjoyable to learn from. I have been using Illustrator since 2006 and been running into strife sometimes not being to do all the things I was hoping to. Thankfully Andy is a real pro at making it interesting and bringing to light things i didn't know, so...many many thanks! I hope to brush up with his Photoshop course as well right now......so....on to the next ;)

This course is incredible. It's very clearly laid out in a manner that builds on the lessons as you learn them. Although I find it best viewed at 1.25 or 1.5X speed. I've always been able to toy around in Illustrator before, but now I can actually put the program to work! I do wonder though, if there are lessons missing - because the very last video in the course ends with his trademark, "On with the next," as opposed to some sort of conclusion to the series. I'm a fan of Andy's courses, and previously took his Photoshop CS6 course to drastically improve my Photoshop skills as well.

When I first purchased this order I was afraid that the course would be too difficult to follow and that I could learn anything of value since my knowledge of CS Illustrator is zip, nada, nothing. After finishing the course I am so happy that I can start applying what I have learned and continue to grow. Alan, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

This is an unreal course for beginners... and even some people who may need a refresher. Some complaints about this course are that it is too slow but the instructor meticulously goes through all of the "essential" tools in great detail. I have learned so much from this course and it has helped me a lot in starting my own business. 10/10. Bravo.

The instructor was good at teaching how to use different AI tools but Would be great if he would have added videos on building 3d models and vector object or logos etc. This course is really good for absolute beginner but If someone wants to lean graphics with practical projects this is not the course. As the course title suggests CS6 tuttorial and not building projects with CS6 Ai

This course presents a good overview of each of the Illustrator items and discusses details that might go un-noticed without a description. It will take some practice to apply the information as the course does not delve into great detail on the creation of the study images. The instructor does a good job explaining each of the tools available in Illustrator. It was definitely worth the time and price.
