The course is clear and concise and covers very well some more advanced topics of the ESP32 such as Semaphore and Queues usage in FreeRTOS, Deep sleep and ULP programming. Although, I feels that the usage of Arduino IDE is not sufficient when getting deeper into the ESP32 ; And some topics like Arduino IDE OTA update aren't really usefull. I'd love to see a full course using the ESP-IDF or the PlatformIO extension for VS code, given its vast superiority in professional development environments.

WHY DO YOU PRONOUNCE EVERY UNDERSCORE IN FUNCTION AND PARAMETER NAMES? Half of every video is this dude saying "underscore". This is supposed to be the advanced course. We know there can't be spaces in names. Just read the words. We can see the underscores on the screen.

I expected more advanced programming techniques, for example managing different inputs without losing values. At first I spend some time Googling topics mentioned here because they were not covered in detail. When it got to the latter half of the course things picked up a bit and was very interesting but could really do with more hands-on work. I feel that with the knowledge of the instructor this course could have been so much more, especially given how short it is. Another couple of hours of just programming and managing different similutaneos inputs would have been fantastic. The deep sleep was the most in-depth and interesting, but it's not at all relevent to what I need to accomplish.

Something new I learnt were the OTA and Wifi manager. Other embedded learning were already known to me. Otherwise this course deserves a 5 star rating. Kindly add ESP IDF programming and JTAG debugging into this course to make it more elegant and interesting!

I think the course is great. Maybe it could be improved if the instructor would speak more naturally, sometimes it seems as if he was reading. It's OK though.

Up to this halfway point, there is no doubt that I have learned quite a bit from this course. It appears that this course has fallen in between some library updates between the ESP8266, ESP32 and the Arduino libraries. Consequently, even though there are updated libraries provided in the course material, there are still some lectures that just do not work as presented. I've had to continually resolve library issues and rewritten function calls to get some examples to work properly. Although this contributes a bit more to the understanding of the material, at this halfway point having to stop for hours or days to resolve the issues is becoming tedious. I'd rather the examples just worked and my suggestion is to provide the entire working example files and libraries in one place AND there should be a suggestion to start a clean installation of ArduinoIDE to avoid conflicting files and libs. Many of the wifimanager examples won't work for me, especially the captive portal examples. Also, I have questions that were posted with no answers for many days. I will continue with the course. Having now finished this course I would say that I've gained an exceptional amount of information regarding the operation and usage of the ESP32 type boards. I highly doubt I would have acquired this much information on my own.

I had a great time learning and revisiting concepts like OTA Programming and Free RTOS. Without using flashy projects, the course has made the concepts so crystal clear that anyone can implement them and upgrade their product.

The cloud based OTA update is working great with my home automation project. Now I don’t have to take out my prototype from inside the wall socket every time I need to modify the code. I can just do an OTA Update from anywhere in the world.

The produce-consumer RTOS project with the internal hall effect sensor, is a really great example that combines all the concepts like multitasking, Queues, Semaphores and Inter Task communication into a single project. I will be borrowing this for teaching my engineering students.

The one thing I found interesting about the course is that we are shown what are the effects of implementing these advanced concepts to our projects through performance and power consumption comparisons. This gives us a perspective what can be achieved in our projects.
