This course is VERY out of date. All the Arduino code uses libraries that are deprecated and even when I hunted down the libraries and installed them, I still couldn't get them to compile. The Azure website walk thru is using a very old version of the website, so lots of figuring stuff out. Complete waste of time. I only made it 30% of the way thru the course before I gave up in frustration, but at that point it's not eligible for a refund! Shame on you Udemy for allowing this to happen!

I have mixed feelings about the course. Many of the videos are outdated and I spent waaaaaaaay more time trying to get things on the Raspberry Pi to work than I thought I would (and I am not new to the Pi). In some sections I went to youtube to figure out how to get things to work but in many other sections I had to bail. If you're looking to get a decent feel for how this all works then this might still be relevant. Otherwise you might want to look for a newer course. One tip for the future: I recommend that the instructor take more time to lay out what we are doing so as to get a better understanding.

Overall layout of the course is good, In some places I felt, it would have been beneficial to have more details around the concepts rather than just reading out the slide. There is no mention of EventHub or DPS in the course. The practical examples were good, but In a real world scenario multiple devices (like automotive) can be provisioned in a large number, would be beneficial to gain more insights into real world scenarios and possibly knowing more about how to automate onboarding of new devices.

It was a good and helpful experience of how we can build industrial projects using Microsoft IoT Azure, one such example is Microsoft Azure Farmbeats. Thanks to the instructor for briefly explaining the concepts and practical . I've noted down the tutorial. At present i am not having hardware components , for sure i'll purchase and get them connected and draw some insights to plot them on Power BI as you've taught to build projects.

Excellent course. It didn’t leave out on explaining the concepts and provided ample resources for more learning. I really liked the explanation for notification services, scheduling services, API Connector, Azure Logic Apps, Power BI, Authentication methods, Access Policies, SASL, structure of security token, and lot more. Its more than what I can remember.

So much content packed into one single course. Still it didn’t feel rushed. I really liked the inclusion of a separate section dedicated only to security. Shared access policies, per device security, security tokens and authentication methods for MQTT, AMQP & HTTP are very useful to bulletproof your IoT Application in Microsoft Azure.

I have almost half a dozen IoT projects that I was planning to migrate from Google Cloud to Microsoft Azure & was searching for a good course to help me understand the “language” of Azure. Because of the excellent explanation of the Azure platform I have successfully replicated all my google cloud projects because of this course. Thanks.

I already had basic experience working with the Azure platform, but didn’t know how to store data and visualize data stream. I learned how to create consumer groups and provide independent visualization to different sensor reading of my smart irrigation IoT project. Furthermore, on the way I learned to sent email and sms notifications using several services.

I have tried to work with the Azure IoT Platform several times, but I quickly got intimidated by the vast amount of options, configuration, tools and services at our disposal. Thus, I could never finish a project end-to-end. This course has removed all my fears, and have guided me through my initial learning curve to learn IoT development using the Azure platform.
