Alex Dan — Cloud Architect, Developer & Instructor
With over a decade of hands-on software engineering experience, I've built my career at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, web development, and practical education.
My technical journey started in embedded automotive systems — developing Java-based navigation solutions for major car brands. From there, I moved into cloud engineering, building AWS-powered data pipelines for connected vehicles using Node.js, TypeScript, Lambda, DynamoDB, and a full suite of AWS services. I later worked as a Node.js developer at one of Eastern Europe's largest e-commerce platforms, before transitioning into independent cloud architecture consulting.
Today, as a freelance Cloud Architect, I design and implement scalable cloud solutions across industries — from automotive to enterprise — with a focus on infrastructure reliability, CI/CD automation, and modern serverless architectures.
Parallel to my engineering career, I've been teaching on Udemy since 2017, growing a community of over 300,000 students across 19 courses. My current focus is AI-assisted development — helping developers work smarter with tools like GitHub Copilot, VS Code AI extensions, and agentic coding workflows.

The introduction to the course is well structured. The teacher Alex provides clear instructions how to follow along with both Python or/and Typescript codes provided as attached resources. I also notice that the Q&A section gives interesting comments and replies from previous students and Alex. I just reached the beginning of Section 2, so that's an early request from Udemy to provide feedback. Will update my comments as I proceed through the course. I'm now very excited to actually start learning! Feb. 2026

It's a great and simple course if you want to learn the basics of how to use Amazon Bedrock and the tools that it provides. I would say that's a good option if you don't want to spend a lot of time learning complex things.

Yes, this is a great course. I appreciate the hands-on approach of the instructor, and he explains everything in easy-to-understand terms. I have been trying to learn these Gen AI concepts on cloud applications for quite some time, and I am so pleased to have found this course. I will recommend it to my peers!

This course provides a solid introduction to Amazon Bedrock and its capabilities in the realm of generative AI. The content is well-structured, making it easy to follow along, even for those who are not deeply familiar with AWS services or generative AI concepts. The instructor does a great job of breaking down complex topics into more manageable parts, and the practical examples help reinforce the theoretical knowledge. One of the highlights of the course is the hands-on demonstrations, which allow students to see how Amazon Bedrock can be applied to real-world scenarios. These examples are particularly valuable for understanding how to integrate Bedrock with other AWS services, which is crucial for deploying scalable AI solutions. However, there are a few areas where the course could be improved: - The coverage of some advanced topics felt a bit rushed. A more in-depth explanation of certain concepts, such as fine-tuning models or best practices for optimizing Bedrock's performance, would be beneficial for those looking to dive deeper. - It would also be great to see more detailed use cases or case studies demonstrating how businesses are leveraging Amazon Bedrock for generative AI projects. This could provide a better sense of its practical applications and inspire new ideas for implementation. - A section dedicated to troubleshooting common issues when using Amazon Bedrock would add additional value, especially for those new to the platform. Overall, this course is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to explore the potential of Amazon Bedrock in the field of generative AI. It effectively balances theory and practice, making it a valuable resource for professionals looking to enhance their skills in AI and AWS.

This course has been fantastic! All the code is relatively simple, but illustrates all the important points very well. I would have liked for some of the API's to have been integrated into a simple ReactJS or NextJS app, but I understand this might not be the primary focus of this course.

I recently completed 'Amazon Bedrock - The Complete Guide to AWS Generative AI' and found it to be incredibly informative and well-structured. The course content is thorough, covering all the essential aspects of AWS Generative AI, and the explanations are clear and concise. The practical examples and hands-on labs helped solidify my understanding, making complex concepts easier to grasp. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their skills in AWS and AI technologies!

Excellent course. Clearly explained with relevant examples. The CDK deployments came in handy. I had already completed another Udemy Bedrock course when I started this one but it really helps to view the service and the implementation options from another perspective.
