Un buen curso en general, pero no tiene 5 estrellas porque algunos ejecicios son de un nivel mas alto que el anterior, esto esta muy bien simpre y cuando exista un socion logica que derive del primero, lamentablemnete eso fue asi,ya que el penultimo ejercicio era un salto muy grande donde si o si teneias que saber medianamente la arquitectura que estaba usando, lo cual no se curbrio en el flujo normal del curso, este ejercicio era muy importante, creo que debio de ser mas claro, como sea es un buen curso.

I wasn't sure about what to expect from this course, but it was amazing. The progress of topics and difficulty was nice because you're able to understand everything. I'd suggest to add more explanations at the beginning because the first time I took this course I didn't catch why unit testing is important. It was just after using them in my job that I felt motivated to learn unit testing. Also some exercises are confusing. Besides the above, you'll learn a lot from this course!

I had never written a detailed test cases during development - I used to write few test cases covering only the boundary conditions and proceed with my development. What I have gained by this course is extra-ordinary concepts like TDD- Fake-Mock - which I had heard of but never tried writing it at all . This course gave me an insight - a first step to climb a Mountain which I was lacking now got the motivation to write test cases. Especially Uncle Bob's 3 step to write TDD cases is truly amazing. Some magical things in the Junit4 and Mockito Frameworks was also cool I felt . Got to write more test cases to get a better hold on it. I highly recommend this course to everyone who starts their career in Android Development - They should start with this course first in Android. Love from India

O curso é muito bom mesmo! Adorei! Somente 2 pontos de críticas construtivas aqui, é que eu senti que o ritmo era um pouco lento na fala mas nada que a aceleração não resolvesse. O segundo ponto é referente a arquitetura, está bem antiga ainda em MVC e tinha muita abstração pra fazer injeção de dependência, isso dificultava um pouco pra entender o que o código fazia e consequentemente pra criar os testes. Em resumo o curso é ótimo me ajudou muito pois entrei num projeto já com testes unitários, e esse curso me auxiliou bastante a me adequar.. Super recomendo!

Really great course! Ton of information on unit testing, a lot more than i expected. Before I started this course I thought it would be kinda short compared to other Udemy courses, but that was not the case. There was a lot of dense information, which was well explained, and a lot of exercises to apply your new knowledge. One of my favorite things in this course was how well written the exercises were. They actually required a lot of critical thought and really helped me with getting all the information to stick.

I'm happy that I decided to take this course about unit testing. So far, I had a mix of fear and sloth when attempting to code a simple unit test. Now I have no those feelings anymore. My expectations with this course were gaining enough skills to start writing unit test (then, improving those skills by myself through practice and a continuous learning). This course has met those expectations.

Improvement suggestion: Would be great if after the exercises Instructor would finish them himself, I am sure it would be beneficial for students to be able to follow and compare/improve upon seeing instructor's thought process. Especially important when Exercises are quite different from previous lectures. Overall great and pretty advanced, considering that in reality huge percentage of devs don't follow proper TDD. Find myself watching lectures that preceded exercises multiple times. Thank you, Vasiliy! Looking forward to more courses!

The course is well designed. The instructor is visibly passionate about testing and code quality. I learned a lot on unit testing in this course and I appreciated the productivity tricks. On the other hand, I can't say that the course covers everything you need for unit testing on android. The examples given are similar to each other, I wish they were more varied. For instance, how to unit test a viewmodel(jetpack) or a singleton repository class? He just says "don't use singletons" I think the instructor is quite opinionated about good design, and shows what he thinks is the best. But other people have different ideas about the best design and we usually don't work alone, so I wish he also showed how to deal with different cases. But overall, I learned lots if things for a small price, so I believe it was worth anyway.

The course covers basics of android testing involving mockito and TDD. I would have rated this 5 starts but for below observations - 1. I was able to follow and work on exercises smoothly till I reached TDD where the course suddenly gets difficult. Let alone the concept, the example used for explanation makes it even worse to understand and implement. 2. The example used throughout the course remains standard. It would have been helpful, had the testing techniques been implemented for a real project. Also, instead of sticking to same pattern of examples, had the author used few other examples, the concept would have been even clear. 3. The author insists on not knowing internal implementation of the classes while working on exercises. However, the description provided is sometimes inadequate and you are forced to check internal implementation. 4. Author says that by end of the course we will know what's the difference between faking, stubbing and mocking, but that's not true. 5. Author could have added an section on expresso and shown it working in real-time, there by covering the entire basics of testing for android.

I liked the course. As the course is titled testing in Android it would've been nice if there was a sample app showing how to modularize all the layers(UI, App, Domain and Infrastructure) and write tests from the scratch.
