Course Description
This course is your complete guide into the world of Kotlin Coroutines in Android. By the end of this course, you'll know how to use Coroutines to write reliable, maintainable and responsive Android applications.
The philosophy of this course is "learn by coding", so you'll be asked to solve a series of carefully designed, hands-on exercises. These exercises are built into a tutorial Android application, so they accurately reflect the "real world" use cases that you'll encounter in real Android apps.
Even though the main goal of this course is to give you practical skills, it also covers the theory behind Kotlin Coroutines framework at a more conceptual level. In particular, you're going to learn what Structured Concurrency is, what benefits it provides and how Coroutines support this powerful paradigm.
These aspects of Kotlin Coroutines framework are covered in this course:
Coroutines as concurrency framework
Suspending vs blocking functions
Coroutine Scope, Context and Jobs hierarchy
Coroutines cancellation
Exceptions handling inside Coroutines
Structured Concurrency
Unit testing with Coroutines
and more...
In this course we go beyond the functionality of Kotlin Coroutines framework itself and also discuss important design considerations that will help you write clean and maintainable code.
Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines is an essential skill for Android developers. After completing this course, you'll be able to use Coroutines in real-world Android projects, and you'll be ready to answer even the trickiest questions about this framework in job interviews.
So, if you're serious about Android development and you want to master Kotlin Coroutines, this course is perfect for you!

Great course. Probably the best one on Udemy. I reviewed all the available options and found this one the most practical and advanced. The author delivers well-structured lectures - no fluff, solid theory, and lots of practice. While the author has an accent, his English is easy to understand. I watched the entire course at 1.5x+ speed. Vasiliy definitely has the skill to deliver knowledge effectively.

I feel the basics should be covered first rather than covering complex topics all at a time and then decoding one-by-one. Bad practice of teaching.

This is fine for the beginning but some things are missing in my honest opinion. Also some things that can break your app are just neglected and ran over like swallowing the CancellationException during the exercise 10. Explaining parallel decomposition without ever mentioning coroutineScope, supervisorScope and withContext functions and their differences isn't good. That whole chapter sounded more like an attempt to explain parallel execution. Exception handling of coroutines without ever defining what a top-level coroutine is or how different coroutine builders would behave inside the functions provided for parallel decomposition doesn't provide proper tools for writing bug free concurrent code. Overall, okay for someone that is really just a beginner.

All the topics were extensively explained and the exercises were well thought out, also the structure of the course allowed me to advance to a consistent pace fitting lectures to my schedule. But the thing that impressed me the most was Vasiliy's dedication, I asked something, two years after the publication of the course, and he responded within a day, he also added a lecture addressing a bug in one of the lectures, he showed that he cares. Definitely, my understanding of the coroutines framework is more significant than before taking the course, and now I'm confident when I'm using it on my job.

The course explained all the basics beautifully and it was easy to understand complex topics. Cons: there are some new concepts which are not included in this course - flow, channels, using shared resources properly between concurrent coroutines using actors, mutex etc. Wish this course gets updated with these topics also.

Best course what I ever had. I was totally beginer with coroutine framework, and now I even understand how it is work "under the hood". The course is not easy, and part with Unit tests and Mechanics was probably the hardest one for me, even If you took only 50% out of there, you will still know way more than avarage! The way of explanation is really powerfull and wonderfull. Wish I could see more courses like this before. I really learned from it, and I am going to check another courses what you have done. Amazing course! Keep going! When someone will ask me about the Coroutines, I will recommend your course You have no competition! Thank you!

Vasiliy has explained the concepts very well that give you a good hang of coroutines really intuitively. His approach to topics in order of complexity and mainly explaining the intricacies of this complext and powerful framework is really amazing. His English accent could have been a bit clearer as I had to resort to Auto generated subtitles. But that is at a few places and you'll get used to his accent very soon. I've enrolled into one of his another course before finishing off the last section of this course. You can definitely trust Vasiliy for the wonderful course.

This course is THE BEST (not one of) course I have ever taken on Udemy! The instructor has super deep understanding of how coroutines work and provides many on-point examples to illustrate everything we need to know about coroutines. I really enjoy all the course sections especially 6 to 10 where I learned so much from. By reading the official documentation or online tutorials wouldn't get you to learn quickly or more than what you'd learn from this course. All I want to say is: Thanks to Visiliy! Look forward to your incoming courses.

Great course! There was no procrastination during learning. Because this is course is attractive to watch. It is fantastic to observe how lectures are forming clear understanding. I am backend developer and hadn't found any course for backenders about coroutine with good explanation of basics. But this course made real breakthrough for me. It would be also great to have section about channels and actors.
