Content and Overview
To take this course, you must have some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Object Oriented Programming, if not with C#. Even if you have little exposure to the .NET development stack, this course is beginner-friendly and full of development tips.
This course has several hours of premium content but is smartly broken up to highlight related activities based on each module in the application being built. We will also look at troubleshooting and debugging errors as we go along, implementing best practices, writing efficient logic, and understanding why developers do things the way they do. Your knowledge will grow, step by step, throughout the course, and you will be challenged to be the best you can be.
By the time you have finished the course, you will have moved around in Visual Studio and examined logic and syntax errors so much that it will be second nature for you when working in the .NET environment. This will put your newly learned skills into practical use and impress your boss and coworkers.
The course is complete with working files hosted on GitHub, including some files to make it easier for you to replicate the demonstrated code. You will be able to work alongside the author as you work through each lecture and will receive a verifiable certificate of completion upon finishing the course.

The overall experience was quite nice, I would only recommend one thing: if there's a bug that is fixed 3-4-5 lessons later, please add a one-line notification about it. But it was quite a challenge to fix it, anyway, so nothing wrong happened. Thanks for the course!

As a mid-senior level SWE looking to increase my skills in dotnet, this course really helped me with most fundamental CRUD functionalities in web development with some intermediate level requirements on later parts. I am definitely considering buying other courses from this lecturer.

This was one of the better courses I've taken on Udemy. Trevoir did an excellent job explaining things, and when bugs were introduced, he didn't just remove them, but he left them there so that he can show others how to find and fix them as well.

If a Beginner is think of doing a small project in MVC, I would recommend with this course. Trevoir has explained well so that even a layman can understand the project. When i was stuck in the project at some point, Trevoir did help me personally on LinkedIn

I learned alot by following the examples and being able to follow along. There are a couple areas that could use more explanation. like the adding user data points, where the user database had to be changed. The one other part was the boot strap portion about the carosuel. I picked the wrong version. Other then that the examples and instruction is very strong.

The instructor has a good speaking voice and I certainly learned a lot from this course. My reason for not giving a 5-star review was that it wasn't always easy to follow what he was doing while I was trying to code-a-long. There were a few times where things got messed up and I had to start a feature over and once where I had to rebuild the project over. Still I learned a lot...but just the hard way.

The Good: Finally found an EF course that emphasizes data first and actually explains stuff they're doing! The instructor responds very fast to questions as well. Took a similar ASP.NET course from a very popular Udemy .NET programming instructor who yet couldn't be bothered to answer questions. The course takes a nice gentle introduction to the MVC and EF models, explaining steps along the way. So why isn't this a 5-star rating? The not-quite-as-good: I think this course tries to be too much. There are courses out there that are "full-stack" courses, going over the back-end (MVC/EF) and front-end (JavaScript/JQuery) and they're all significantly longer than this one. While the instructor does a good job early on with the MVC and Entity Framework, things fall apart in the last section. It feels that the JQuery and Ajax are force-fed into the course. The class is titled "MVC and Entity Framework" but instead of fleshing those concepts out and going more deeply into Entity Framework, the instructor instead gives a crash course in Ajax and JQuery that is little more than a demonstration. I found myself mainly copying code without understanding what I was doing. After finishing the course, I feel I have a good understanding of the EF and MVC as pertaining to this project, but I don't feel prepared to do any project on my own. Because the front-end JQuery material felt like a detour, it also seemed rushed and gone over too quickly to be covered adequately, meaning I was more copying code than actually learning JQuery. To remedy this, the course should either be expanded to allow for more thorough coverage of the front end code, or split off into another course entirely, so we can spend more time on the EF. The main problem is that although the course is titled "MVC and EF", only 2 of the 4 main sections cover those topics! Only 4 sections minus the bonus, one is on package management, one is on JQuery and Ajax, so only half the course is on MVC and EF, meaning the entire thing felt too rushed and when you cover things too quickly you may as well not teach them at all. Lengthen the course to allow more time to flesh things out, or get rid of the Ajax/JQuery entirely and split it off into a new course. This course just tried to rush too much into too little time.
