Most Recent Review

First, I have some experience with C# so the beginning chapters I was able to do quite quickly. Trevoir seems to have a lot of knowledge. I enjoyed the course overall and for sure learned a lot. I knew beforehand, that with the length of the course it will not be a deep dive in C#, .Net or SQL but I used it as an overview to get started and overall my expectations where met. The only downside I would mention is by the end of chapter 16 beginnig with lesson 147 - Here Trevoir starts to copy code around and it makes it hard to follow along when you do a codealong with him. Furthermore at this point, the course feels to get a bit rushed. Aftwards some chapters feel off (I assume regarding some updates over time), however you can follow along and should have learned enough by now to get by with Google or AI and pick up the content. As a conclusion I would say: + Good starter course to get an overview + Overall explaination are clear + You should be able to build a basic C# Win Forms app with SQL Server afterwards + Teaching style and speed is reasonable - Lacks in context in the end (perhaps through updates) Overall I enjoyed the course and will for sure revisit other courses of Trevoir in the future.

Instructor Bio

Trevoir Williams is a software and systems engineer, author, instructor, and technical educator specializing in .NET, Azure, SQL Server, microservices, DevOps, secure coding, and AI-powered application development. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Development and has earned multiple Microsoft Azure certifications.

As an author and instructor, Trevoir focuses on practical, production-ready software development. He is the author of Microservices Design Patterns in .NET and Effective .NET Memory Management, and a contributor to the Azure Integration Guide for Business. His work helps developers understand modern architecture, data access, messaging, observability, security, cloud deployment, performance, and AI integration with real implementation context.

Trevoir has taught more than 500,000 learners through online courses on ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, microservices, DevOps, secure application development, and generative AI. He also teaches thousands more through his YouTube tutorials, articles, and practical technical content.

His teaching philosophy is simple: explain the why, build the how, and help learners develop the confidence to apply both in real systems.

Trevoir believes technical education should move learners beyond memorizing syntax or blindly following steps. His goal is to help developers think like professionals: to understand trade-offs, recognize architectural patterns, write maintainable code, and make informed decisions when building modern applications.

He brings together experience in software consulting, engineering, database development, cloud systems, server administration, lecturing, and course creation to make complex topics feel structured, approachable, and useful.

Learners can expect clear explanations, hands-on projects, architectural reasoning, professional best practices, and a calm, practical teaching style. Trevoir’s courses and community are designed for developers who want more than isolated lessons. They are for learners who want guidance, accountability, real-world context, and the confidence to keep building long after the lesson ends.
