This is the first udemy course I've completed. It ticked all the boxes, and did not skip over important details. This is a full end-to-end workflow for retro horror games specifically, using blender. These are often hard to come by, particularly for this genre, and are often lacking important steps, or come with too many pre-made things. In this case, you're starting everything from scratch. Even the assets that you're not starting from scratch (some well known art assets that are publically accessible), the tutorial in how to use these was also really helpful. I don't know if the creator is active on the course anymore sadly. Luckily, the content is clear enough that if you run into any speed-bumps, you can usually fix it by repeating sections of the tutorials. I personally have also added a few fixes in the Q&A where it was not obvious. Anyways, hands down the best course of this nature I've come across, highly recommend.

The videos give you a lot of good ideas of how to make a horror game in Godot. The instructor goes into details about why you would do certain things certain ways like the navmesh menu. Things that could be good to know is how to do visual detection for a character. So that the chase could be more complex.

Lukifah provided a clear step-by-step process for each part of the course showing a clear path for developing a first person indie horror game. Due to his clear explanations and good organisation of his code and resources I was not only able to follow along with the material clearly but also add my own personal touches to the game I was coding throughout the course. As a result, I will definitely be seeing about his other Udemy course as I believe his teaching style is clear and effective enough for me to develop my skills. Thank you again! :D

Well, I kind of expected it to be more of a godot 3d tutorial. But it's more of a how to make a game using Godot and blender and how to publish it. So expect it to be more of a game making & publishing tutorial. I think it's good for getting started with a game development - showing basics of how you should think, and what tools to use

Many things seem to be done in very non-professional ways, such as grabbing random image textures from google, and also presumably publishing your game with that texture. The code (as far as ive seen) needs a lot more explanation in what it is doing. Overall this tutorial feels more like an average youtube video, not one that should cost money in my opinion.

I enjoyed the course, the whole process was explained well, of course some people might say it was improvised, but listening to the logic and seeing the code written out in real time I thought made the course better than the standard, watch and see. I can't wait to see other courses :)

Instructor patiently explains and is very informative on the use of the Godot editor. I understood some new very important functions that are fundamental. I have just a some experience with Godot, however I missed some basic functions. This is very helpful.

Nice course, im new to the godot, so im very excited with this content. But coding skills of the author sometimes may be not so well, and I need to adjust his code to prevent bugs/unexpected behavior (im senior data scientist, so I can do this)

The instructor does not seem to be using a syllabus. He makes mistakes and either skips them or comes back and fixes them later, this makes it hard to follow. Edit: The course also now seems to be the only one I have purchased on udemy that only runs in 720, not sure why its the only low res one.

Nice course with an interesting workflow between Godot and Blender, on a very niche genre of game, that is not always presented as easily by other teachers. At time, it feels that the course is a bit improvised, and the resulting game may not be as polished as you'd expect, but go with the flow and you'll be rewarded.
