Disappointed. I'm not saying the information is bad; it is very important stuff. But I easily learned this much online before I bought the course, and I hoped that it would drill down into more detail about database structure. Because of the course's brevity, it really should be included as the introductory section to a larger course, such as his Microsoft Access course which he references at the end. If he also wanted to provide this course independent of the MS Access course, then the price certainly should have been much, much lower.

This is trully a fundamental course, it explains the very basics of database design and normalization process. It's a very good guide for every student in the beginning, because it's essential to understand the database design process. It explains and clarify some concepts that I haven't learn at school. I very recommend this course.

I refresh my database concepts by taking this course and i love the way things were explained: simple yet right to the point. The instructor captured my attention at all time and reinforced the database principles that I tented to think they were different from the course. I highly recommend anyone that are in the DB world and starting into it to take this course and learn from what it has to offer.

This guy is amazing! It has always been clear to me how powerful databases are while I was intimidated by the logic behind them. I have recently started again to learn how to make my own databases and wanted a theoretical foundation to it. I found this course and have been impressed at how clear and simple he has been able to explain the topic. Very recommended.

This course is perfect for anyone new to databases , covering the ground rules and basics very clearly and concisely. Although only a few minutes long it delivers lessons and awareness that will stay with you forever. Observing all the key principles at the start ensures that you finish with the best possible product.

Course was ok, but I din't learn what the difference were a between the different normal. I would've have liked to see what benefits each normal form adds to the database and the drawbacks. The audio quality was also a problem form me, otherwise everything else is fine

This is a great course that Dymestifies how to organize your database. He clearly explains and demonstrates with examples. I was a little perplexed with the one to one relationships, the one to many and the many to many, I can say I finally understand. Therefore, if you are interested in learning how to create databases its a must to start out with this course. I highly recommend it!

Provided great plan of what needs to be done to establish the number of tables needed for a good design, how to determine content for each table (phone numbers, addresses, emails) with each linking to the others [relationships] using identified Keys used and available in each table. Provided a plan for me to plan out a database.

As the manager about to lead a database development project I needed a decent amount of knowledge in order to ensure the IT staff developed the exact product we require. I suspected the planning stage was a non-IT stage.. even secretly thinking I would have a sneaky old school pen & paper go at it. Turns out that is exactly it. My involvement in the project is THIS bit. Otherwise there is every chance we'd end up with yet another database that doesn't quite deliver what is needed and is unable to develop with the future demands upon it. Perfect course, very well delivered. Hell it was watchable! Even Greys Anatomy couldn't distract me from it!

This was a great course to set a solid foundation for understanding the hows and whys of database design. He gave a very clear presentation of how to know when to create new tables for your information. I would recommend this as a first step in learning about database design or data modeling. Presentation was clear and engaging. Excellent teacher.
