DaVinci Resolve: Video Editing in DaVinci Resolve (Udemy.com)

The course is taught in great detail and covers all the important aspects I need to know when editing. It has really helped improve my productivity and efficiency. The teaching style is simple and easy to understand, which makes the learning process enjoyable. I truly love this course. Previously, I also took a Premiere Pro course from Phil, and it was definitely worth it.

I am using DaVinci Resolve 20 as of 2026. These footage is a little bit of outdated but was bearable for the first half that they use DaVinci Resolve 16 and actually tought me a lot of things. But after a certain point the footage is from DaVinci Resolve 15 and the UI is much more different from Version20. And when it transforms to Version15, most of the information is repeated from the earlier lessons. It's like they didn't delete the earlier lessons and added newer lessons upfront. So you can approximately say that the course length is about 7-10 hours if you skip the repeated sections. But it is annoying to do that instead of watching a better compiled course instead.

It's been almost two years since I made it a goal to learn DaVinci Resolve. Even though I only have an old computer, and a lot of uncertainty around my study time, the material has been a easy for me to follow since starting around the 20th Sept 2025. I understand that I can expand upon the basics learnt here, and am really looking forward to completing this course and going beyond. there is not 15.5 hour course about Davinci Resolve, because there is "bonus" 3.5 hours course about VideaoScribe. Why? if i want it, i would bought it, but now it's pointless. few firs chapters of Davinci 17 is ok, bet the older one's are so slow, that even 1.5 speed doesnt help. some of the important topics was just presented, but it should dive deep into it. like green screen. seriously? the result was orange dog in green grass, and it is not good result. And there is a lot of repetitive information, but not the important one.

I highly enjoyed this course on DaVinci Resolve. I am a very new user when it comes to this app and I was looking for a good course that would enable me to gain a basic understanding of color correction and editing. This course exceeded my expectations. When I finished the course, I had a basic understanding of how to use this app for my video editing needs.

So far, so good. Explanations are clear and the short videos make following along easy and not mentally taxing. I purchased this course a while back. The current version of DaVinci resolve is 18.5 as of this review. As you mentioned, most of the tools and performance are similar to version 15. However, there are a few added tools in the newer version. Please add some comments about these. Thanx.

I purchased this course primarily as a review. I am mainly a stills photographer and only an occasional videographer. I have learned what I know about video editing entirely from online courses, including another one from Udemy. Because of the long lapses between my videos, I find I forget a lot. I needed something that would serve as an efficient review, focusing the things I sort of know into a more coherent, usable knowledge base. I find that this course is serving that purpose very well.

This course is massive, in terms of content and quality. Video Editing is not something I have many skills on but it was easy to follow. DaVinci Resolve has a lot to offer, so maybe I will become a professional, who knows? (So far, I've done some personal works). Unfortunately, due to the lack of proper equipment I cannot use the Software as much as I'd wanted to, but I'm confident I gained the basic knowledge I need for the future.

I do have some experience with video editing but resolve was a bit overwhelming. This course helped me overcome that and I've improved my skillset a lot. the part 2 of the course is poorly organized, out of order, he is describing an old version the tools are there but not where they are on his screen and not always named the same. never once did he describe what "clipping" is. (thats the one that stood out to me)

I'm loving this. I'm starting out as a total beginner with Resolve, as well as video editing in general. Kashif is a great teacher. I took Phil's Lightroom course and it was fantastic and am also taking his Photoshop class. All three I highly recommend. Update: Halfway through the course and I'm still loving it. Kashif is awesome. On-line Video School straight up knows how to educate.
