Good examples. To further strengthen the material, I would suggest adding PDF resources where each unit includes a summary or a visual diagram to enhance understanding. In addition, similar to Unit 19, it would be helpful to mention that these concepts are explained in detail in the book The Structure of Magic I by John Grinder and Richard Bandler, the founders of NLP.

I appreciate how the course is broken down into digestible sections, it makes the material easy to follow and apply. I also like the intuitive way the content is presented, and I find it helpful to write down the main points as I go. One suggestion: I’d love to see more examples of challenging situations in addition to the examples of difficult people. That would help connect the concepts to real-world contexts even more. Also, when you talk about managing emotions, could you share some practical techniques or recommendations on how to do this effectively? Expanding a bit more on how to manage our responses in the moment would make the course even more useful. Thank you very much, the training has given me a lot to think about when approaching difficult conversations.

This course was of a great value to me. Helped me understand simple things related to behavior while collaborating with others in a workplace and personal life. The examples given were easy to digest and understand. I will definitely apply what learned in my everyday life. Thank you.

Appreciate the simple, clear communication style and the compactness of each section. Lessons were short and super helpful to get a good overview of a topic and the real life examples and exercises help enforce the learning of the topic. It's super useful in daily work situations and not an overload of information because of the practicality of the lessons.

This class is extremely important for managers and effective leaders and team members. Overcoming any fears of difficult conversations is so important and l liked the message of how it is not to be so avoided and that it is a good thing that will help the manager and their team. Laying expectations and goal at beginning of conversation was very important. I had not thought of the "neutral ground" meeting place since its usually in the manager's office.

I really enjoyed this course! Here are a few profound ideas that I took away. I already kind of do some of them but it helps to have more tools in my toolbox. Responding with "I" instead of "you" is a good one. Sometimes, I have to refresh myself. Dealing with passive agressive people was a new one for me. I am curious how you would respond to a passive agressive email. My thought would be to, if possible, take one of your tips, to recognize my emotional state (physiological and internal dialogue) and then think of how to approach them in person rather than replying to the email. If not possible to respond in person, try to focus on narrowing down the interlocutor's question that is buried within the passive agressive email to understand their version of the facts but keeping it professional and using extinction to ignore the passive agressive comment? Also, I think this might work when you get a rude email from a coworker.

This was a great session! It helped that you give a breakdown of the steps and then explain them in a way that everyone can understand. This course helped me to realize that I could have handled difficult conversations differently in the past, but this course has enabled me to handle difficult conversations very differently and more efficiently in the future.

By Elias Sekgobela on 5/18/2023

Yes, it was a good match for me because I saw some of the managers losing temper/ becoming emotional when dealing with difficult employees. I was also afraid to give negative feedback but I have learned that even if the feedback is negative you still have to send it because you cannot always be right about everything.

A great training - thank you very much Jamal. As you mentioned at the beginning it is not easy to conduct a difficult conversation so I thank you for all the advice you gave here in the aspect how to prepare for it but also how to deal with difficult people. I'm sure it will help me a lot in the future both in business and private life.

A good refresher but not the end all be all lesson on conflict resolution Would you recommend this course? Yes, the course is a good refresher on ways to reflect on how we represent ourselves within conflict. Though, the activities themselves will likely not be novel to anyone acquainted with preparing for sales. The calming techniques were nice as well
