Introduction to Agile project management: Lean, Scrum, Kanban. Get familiar with Agile methodologies.

Created by: Jamal Lazaar

Last updated August 2026

Our take

Based on the ratings of 16,068 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.

This is a short, beginner-friendly introduction to Agile project management. It runs 2.4 hours across 43 lectures, with sections on Agile versus Waterfall, a long stretch on Scrum, a worked example of a first Scrum project, and a Kanban block. Jamal Lazaar, a trainer with ten years in project management behind him, teaches it, and reviewers describe his explanations as clear and relatable. It suits people who need the vocabulary and basic mechanics before joining an Agile team, and more than 40,000 students have enrolled.

Reviews lean heavily positive. Of 16,068 ratings, 8,399 are five stars and 6,236 are four. Students like the short sections, the practical scenarios and the quizzes placed between topics. One reviewer called it very useful for their job. The complaints are small. One person said the volume was low throughout, another wanted more visuals, and a non-native English speaker mentioned struggling a bit with the language barrier. Someone else wanted a French version, and one reviewer only took it because their organization required it. Just 148 ratings are one or two stars.

At 2.4 hours, it is a quick way in rather than a full training. There are four quizzes but no assignments or practice tests, so it does not look aimed at certification prep. The material was last updated in August 2026, so it is current. Treat it as a first step, then look for something deeper if you will run sprints yourself.

Best forPeople new to Agile who want Scrum roles, events and Kanban explained in a couple of hours, without exam prep.
Skip it ifYou want Scrum Master exam prep or hands-on team practice. This stays at the basics level.

Pros

  • Short sections keep it moving, and reviewers say the pace holds their attention
  • Quizzes between topics help the Scrum roles and events stick
  • Covers Agile vs Waterfall, Scrum and Kanban in one sitting, with a worked first Scrum project
  • Updated in August 2026 and rated 4.6 across more than 16,000 reviews

Cons

  • Some reviewers found the volume low and wanted more visuals
  • Only four quizzes and no assignments, so there is little hands-on practice
  • A non-native English speaker said the language barrier made it harder to follow
Perfect course to understand the basics of Agile, Scrum and Kanban!
Diego Fernando Lopez Abril, a student

Listed for all levels, but really a beginner course. The only requirement is being open-minded, and no Agile background is assumed.
