This course added to my learning of why certain policies and procedures exist in my organization. I gained an enhanced insight into my duties to effectively manage employees. I especially appreciated the resource materials. They reinforced the learning and gave me source documents to utilize at work.

This course is very informative and somewhat detailed on managing employee performance. It also helps if you need guidance on supervising, as well as becoming a better employee and what to expect with low performance. Many quizzes so take notes.

Perhaps it is a connection issue, but this entire video has been breaking up. I can barely focus on the actual content because of these issues. I have mixed feelings about the short sections that lead to long chapters. Several 1 minute sections could be combined as one talking point such as different types of employees.

This is quite a comprehensive course that is successfully presented in less than 2 hours. Although the main focus is how to rectify performance problem on the part of the employees, it also fairly focusing on how manager should ponder whether they are the main cause of it. This course also equip managers, how to conduct disciplinary actions without causing resentment and without causing painful litigation consequences. This training exceed my expectation.
By Florentino Mejia on 5/27/2020
unrealistic approach to problem solving in the workplace. This approach is a your typical off-the-shelf routine that has not been solving problems in the workplace for years now. Unfortunately this approach 100% ASSUMES it is the employee who has the issue and NOT the manager. Assumed guilty until you can provide your own private attorney at your costs. All the power and cards are stacked in Management's favor. Been there many times.....there are bad managers/supervisors and No it is not like on what you see on TV. Real world out there people.

I do the performance reviews, appraisals, Performance Improvements Plans, Coaching, Counselling and Disciplinary hearings right in my place of work hence I found this course extremely helpful and full of information I will be able to use in my role as manager
By Mon-Ying Lin on 1/4/2020
Not sure I would consider crossword puzzles to be an additional learning resource, though the attached slides and scripts are helpful. Biggest takeaway is when performance problems arise to take a look at self. Larger management style, or lack thereof, to adjust.

While the content was good and provided insight, I don't think that a few multiple choice questions here and there are a useful method for reinforcement. It seems to me that many little case studies of relevance would be much more useful for retention and to recognize the many different facets of the challenge of managing employee performance.
By Nkuleh Gasa on 2/13/2017
I left the rating because this course has given me useful information on why employees and teams have performance problems, illustrating the causes of various performance problems and different methods of correcting those performance problems. I guess it has got me ready to deal and solve performance problems and be able to develop the winning team as the line manager.
By Sanelisiwe Silvia Nzaca on 2/7/2017
I have learnt the importance of choosing the right team members/employees for your organisation. and also the way companies terminate their employees is very important. A role a manager play is very delicate. The winning team characteristics were the best part that I think we and our team need to have. Thank you for such a wonderful course
