Wonderful course. Very clear and thorough. I loved it.

Excessive talking. I've been waiting and waiting to get to the point. Nothing being spoken is making any sense because nothing is being demonstrated with the talking.

The Auto-Captions need correction due to the Authors heavy American Accent. The Subtitles often are misleading and unclear such as the Author says something like "...go to Greece and open up Arisa..." I don't know who Arisa is but I'm sure pretty she would not like any of us trying to open her up especially if she's human.

A Unique Approach ! David Bergsland teaches you to WRITE and ASSEMBLE your BOOK in Indesign, almost as if it were an art project .. you sculpt and mold your book as you write it .. Readability and typesetting are heavily stressed. Old world, tried and true values to good book design is taught. Instead of using several programs and going through a lengthy assembly of books and collaborators, Bergsland teaches you to do it all in InDesign.

This is one instructor I'd pay a small fortune to, to be personally tutored in Book Production, but it's all here, it this very detailed course.

This is the only time-efficient way to see all of the myriad of things you have to get things right. The number of shortcuts and menu items in InDesign is formidable.

The instuctor provided me with clear guidance on completing and publishing books with the InDesign application. It's a very enjoyable course (and fulfilling "work") for my book publishing activities. Thanks for making the course available.

David's knowledge of typography and desktop publishing is amazing. Add to that, his quick responses to any questions and genuine care, and you have a great course.

David is really knowledgeable. I find that the course is best played at 125% or 150% speed - in order that the voiceover moves along. The challenge is that the course will appeal to multiple audiences - because many people wish to typeset a book. There will be those who want to learn it as a skill to sell. But many more, I suspect, want to use it on their projects. The latter group are probably less interested in the minutiae than in learning rules of thumb and getting sufficient control of InDesign to produce a professional looking result. The course probably doesn't have enough in the "workable rules of thumb"... it is assumed that the reader will develop their own - which depends on the "rest of life"...

As with the preceding course, I am impressed with the amount of information and knowledge shown here. I am very glad to have a better understanding of book production for my professional needs.

However, in terms of how the information is presented (PowerPoint, on screen demos, audio quality) and how the information is organized, the course needs work.
