So far progress is ok...the trainer doesn't enunciate too well and is sometimes difficult to understand. Some concepts are over-explained (boolean logic) whereas others are skipped over way too quickly (button1). Trainer could benefit from pasting in some of the code in later sessions - he does this once, then never again! Time saved from doing so is spent explaining why he's done so, then never does it again. Some of the concepts of Corona completely overlooked (e.g. sceneshow, scenehide, scenedestroy). Overall a mediocre entry point into Corona. I liked the two worked demos that you develop within, but overall could do better.

To be honest, I was struggling with the Alien game. I couldn't find where to save it. I almost gave up. I finally got past that bump in the road. I'm new to programming. I've noticed the codes are very precise. I'm doing a lot better now. Thank you so very much!

I would say course has about 80% of the content against the initially promised content. Still this is a killer course for those who want to learn Corono SDK as beginner or refresh your knowledge once again.

I finished the full course, but this course has never been finished till end. Never. Even tough author promised to finish it, he never did. In this course you are supposed to build two games. One part is ok, you will finish it. But good luck on waiting for the second part, I have been waiting for almost 6 months now, and nothing yet.

Good course. I am back in Corona after three years of pause and this course helped to learn it again - or remember it. Course is not complete, some parts still missing. Source code cannot be compiled by Xcode (runtime error in iphone simulator) - almost at my Mac with actual Xcode. When I update source code, it compile perfect.

I loved this course. Daniel does an excellent job at thoroughly explaining the steps in each lecture, and how they all fit together. I come from a background in web design/development, and knowing how hard it can be to understand how different computer languages works when you first see them, I think that Daniel keeps each concept very simple to understand.

Mr. Williams clearly explained all steps in the process. He made what, at (many) times a confusing process, crystal clear. I look forward to taking his next course. Thank you!

I wish I had found this course prior to completing 80% of Daniel's 'Game Development using Corona SDK in 2015', although it's my own fault as I should have used the 'search' function in Udemy a little more wisely. For anyone with any doubts I can confirm that this course is superbly written and fills the gaps that I had from taking the moderately more advanced Game Dev course. I found the instructor kept things interesting whilst the pace of the course project build was easy to follow. The course is obviously well laid out as I was able to add custom code into the project along the way to enhance my game.

I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to build their own game with Corona. The intro to lua is a bit tedious to someone who is familiar with programming, but he gets through it quick. Great job.

I like that this course, similar to his other Corona course, is up to date. He responds to questions from students in the other course and I’m betting he’ll do the same here. Great course for someone just starting out. I’d like to see another sample though.
