Java Enterprise Edition 8 for Beginners course (Udemy.com)

This is a very good introduction to JavaEE. However, there are a few negative aspects: 1. Course needs to be updated for Jakarta EE 10. Payara 5 Community edition has reached its end of life and Payara 6 supports EE 10. So, it took me quite some time and research to get started and get the examples working. 2. The course needs to explore JSRs & the differences between different popular runtimes a bit in depth. This will provide a clear idea to the beginner. 3. Captions needs to be added. The auto-generated captions are incorrect in many places and it was a bit hard to follow (for me, at least). 4. Certain stuffs are a somewhat unnecessary for beginners. Like for example, Websockets are not needed at this stage. Instead of that more content could have been provided for JSON-B, JSON-P etc. 5. More time should have been spent on how testing in JavaEE works - may be, a bit more explanation on Arquillian. Overall, a very good course - but can be improved further.

Very instructive and informative course. I feel like Mr. Luqman tried his best to teach the Java EE Fundamental in the simplest way possible. The course helps me a lot in my path to become a fullstack Java developer.

Not for beginner Java programmers. Good for people with strong Java foundation, good understanding of relational databases and notions of web development including how a REST API works. In essence, good for beginners in Java EE specifically. Although very complete, some lectures require revision and clarification, such as the one about caching of JAX-RS resources. Sometimes it takes some research and undesirable spent time looking at external documentation and resources to clarify the code that the teacher wrote. Also, the provided code for download could be more incremental. But still very effective for those wanting to learn JPA, JAXRS and other fundamental APIS. Deffinetely working for me, but i wish i could spend less time searching outside the course to understand some subjects.

Expected simpler explanations

The course describes very clearly, in a language understandable for a beginner, all the concepts of Java EE. One can easily understand the previously incomprehensible concepts.

This was a thorough class with practical and useful information. I will definitely be using this course as a reference point as I dive deeper into my JEE projects.

The lecturer is very knowledgeable but a little difficult to understand. English is not his first language. Despite that, I was getting into it. The further I got into the series, the more evident it was that the technology used to demo is obsolete. He uses Java 8 and Netbeans 8.2 (which requires java 8). I am running Java 11, and as I write this, java 15 has been released. I have never used any of these technologies, so figuring out how to follow along with the latest versions isn't working. I have currently only made it to section four, but I think I'm going to get a refund for this class. I have a lot of classes, and this will be my first refund. It is a shame because I was looking forward to exploring JEE/Jakarta web applications

So far so good, the instructor explains all concept or put them in relation to ensure that we understand it. Very good fro the moment
