Javascript Intermediate level 1 - Mastering the DOM (Udemy.com)

Hi, I really like the teaching style, I have enrolled a total of 3 courses from the instructor Edwin. However, this time I would give it a 4 star instead of 5 because the lessons could have been one or two hours more, and the project could have been a little more complex like creating a product page, showing the different angles of a product by clicking child elements.

Whether he plans his courses or not, I love the way he goes about doing them. I love the mistakes he makes because thats what you will be doing in real life. You are getting the real world experience. Even when he does make a mistake he owns up to it and figures it out. Yeah it takes extra time but its not like he has a specific time for each video like "Oh I want this to go on for 5 minutes" then makes a mistake and it takes away from the video. Edwin is a great teacher, lets not get that confused. He breaks everything down so you understand. I watched a video that had 4.7 stars and this other guy did not do any explaining, he was coding and talking minimal about it. Lets appreciate what Edwin gives us. 5 stars from me dude! I just finished the course and I feel the same. A++++++

Excellent! This course will show you what the HTML DOM is, and how to manipulate it using JavaScript. If you have some knowledge of JavaScript and have a basic understanding of the DOM, you can really increase your understanding with this course. You will gain insights into how to use JavaScript with the DOM, and how to use the browser developer tools to study the DOM and troubleshoot your code. This is a great choice for advancing your web development skillset.

Edwin made the course fun, engaging and very informative! I've had experience with using Inspect in the browser, but from an HTML/CSS pov and using the Console in this way has been very eye-opening and helped me to understand javascript more as well! I feel like I got much more out of this course than I was expecting -- not just writing scripts, but tools and methods to test as you build. Thank you, Edwin!! I'm on to Levels 2 and 3!! Two factors to think about to improve the course. First, don't present in such a scattershot fashion. I appreciate the idea of fixing problems however when presenting to new students, the example should be presented in its entirety WITHOUT problems. Too confusing otherwise. Second factor would be to briefly describe the components of the js function or syntax, not just start typing. Would be good to understand the components of the syntax before its use in the script. Thanks for the class, was good to learn.

I believe that Edwin is one Until now of the best teachers in Udemy!!!!!! I love his courses!!!!But his enthusiasm is not enough for this course. This course should be longer and clearer!! The first part of the course is difficult to be followed. In udemy platform it is difficult to watch what the tutor is writing because of the video bar at the bottom. The second part is nice and you can easily understand what the tutor is doing. It is classy EDWIN!! i hope you will upgrade the first part of the course Edwin!!!!

Edwin is so passionate about teaching his courses. I just finished this course and completely loved it. He keeps his videos short and sweet to the point. On top of that he is not afraid to make mistakes, instead he teaches you on how to overcome and fix those mistakes by reverse engineering the problem. This is extremely important for beginner and even advance programers. I highly recommend taking his courses !

To begin, I must say that I like very much Edwin's energy and enthusiasm. Another very important point to me, because English is not my mother tongue, Edwin speaks clearly and I fully understand him. For cons, I like least some less explanatory videos that could have been avoided or others in which it seems that Edwin recorded them without clear plan.

Thank you for the great course. I love the way you teach. It is my second course of yours. I have to admit that there are few things I had to google because no explanations were provided, but your energy made it even. Also the headline of the course "Mastering the DOM" is not the best for that course, because there are so many more things about DOM that You didn't cover in the course.

I like the simplicity of the course. however, I think while Edwin meant well and wanted to apply what he taught in the course, I don't think it makes much sense to have a jQuery project on a course about the DOM. Obviously, it's more functional but it's unrelated and if you're relatively new to JS (as this course material would suggest), it could be more confusing rather than helpful.
