Lecturer uses a local server bundle named Laragon and it is windows only so there is no way or very tricky to setup the same environment at your Mac. First solution is to use Xampp but it is not the same thing because of some details and in time you start to realize that the course content is deeply bounded with Windows environment. So if you are a Mac user this course is not for you.

I am still in the first few sections of the course and I can say this course is better than Laracasts tutorials. The instructor makes things less intimidating by clearly explaining what is what. It doesn't feel like watching someone code - which most of the courses are how designed in Udemy - but this instructor is actually teaching us and making us understand. The instructor clearly mentions what is happening, why we are doing certain things, etc., which really helps us understand what we are doing, how we are doing and why we are doing it. Recommended!
