Our take
Based on the ratings of 218 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in January 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a project course. Students build one multi-language news and magazine site in Laravel 10, from a blank install to a live server. The syllabus shows 273 lectures and about 71 hours across 34 sections. The first ten hours or so cover Laravel basics, then the build moves through the admin panel, news posts, a details page, ads, settings, roles and permissions, and a dynamic language module. It expects basic PHP, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and jQuery, so it suits people who have written some PHP and want a framework project.
Reviewers praise the clear, detailed explanations and the project approach. Several say building user management and other features taught them code patterns they had not used before. Complaints are mild. One reviewer wanted AJAX and more complex functions and felt it stayed with basics. Another found the backend template unappealing. A four star reviewer says some bugs were never fixed, though fixing them became good practice. Only four of the 218 ratings are one or two stars.
The bigger caveat is age. In March 2025 one reviewer said the course needs a Laravel 11 update and that the upgrade video does not cover everything. The listing shows a later update in January 2026, but nothing says that gap was closed. There are no quizzes or coding exercises, so all practice happens inside the project. Still, with about 9,000 students and a 4.5 rating, it is a solid pick for someone who wants a portfolio piece and does not mind some googling when versions drift. Skip it if you want advanced topics.
Pros
- Builds one full news site with admin panel, ads, settings and live deployment
- Roles and permissions get 26 lectures, and multi-language support gets 22
- Reviewers call the explanations clear and easy to follow, even for beginners
- Roughly ten hours of Laravel fundamentals come before the project starts
Cons
- Built on Laravel 10, and a reviewer says the upgrade video to 11 leaves gaps
- One reviewer says some bugs were never fixed and had to be solved by hand
- No quizzes or coding exercises, and one reviewer found the content basic, with no AJAX
The instructor's expertise and teaching style made it easy to follow along, whether you're a beginner or experienced developer.
Beginners to Laravel, not to PHP: basic PHP, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and jQuery are expected up front.

Very good course. Needs to be updated to Laravel 11, sadly the video in there to upgrade from Laravel 10 to Laravel 11 doesn't fully cover everything. Not that it is a big issue as it can be resolved with some googling but it would be easier. There are some bugs that were never addressed but they do present good challenges so fixing them ourselves shows we have actually learnt.
