I think the content was amazing. Thank you! I only wish there was either a stronger community for troubleshooting or a few notes from the instructor in fixing some of the bugs introduced by gulp v4 because this higher version introduces a lot of breaking changes. Switching back to the versions used by the instructor worked, therefore, I don't think the change in technology constitutes a lower rating.

Great course for getting into working with bootstrap 4. Not only introduces the first couple of important tags, but explains a bit of the overall workflow as well (how to use scss files, how to use gulp/npm). The course is basic in what it introduces, of course not all bootstrap tags are mentioned, but it's enough to get most people started.

The course was good and I was glad to have learned the tools that were introduce. Some things were a little incomplete or outdated. I needed to use a different command (add -g) than was given for installing gulp so that I could use it from the command line since I'd never installed it before. Adding custom variables and styling on top of bootstrap seems to be different in the latest (4.1 currently) version, there's no _custom file inside of bootstrap anymore, you're just supposed to declare your variables before including bootstrap (says the bootstrap docs). Overall good, though I had to do some looking through the docs on my own.

Never used SASS before or Bootstrap 4 like this. Figured out when some of the examples weren't working right because of the updated Bootstrap and Font Awesome. Am so thankful that I figured out how to fix the code from previous courses. Want to do some more classes with you! Was a great learning experience and am going to see what I can do to tweak the code to see what it can do from the documentation. You've got me excited to learn more and more.

Excellent course from Gary, far more than described. You get - Robust development set up using gulp, browser Sync, Sass Really nice, clean project using Bootstrap 4.0.0-alpha.6 it's a short course with videos right on 10 minutes so you can fit it in around your other commitments. This is for advanced beginners, he doesn't spoon feed you everything he expects you to be familiar with some of this stuff.

If you are already familiar with HTML/CSS then this will get you up to speed with how Bootstrap works. For a free course, I would not expect extreme detail, but the instructor doesn't explain things very thoroughly. For instance, when you are told to add particular classes to div's, there isn't a description of what the class is doing, how it works, and why it's important. Also, the video was created during Bootstrap 4 Alpha, and now that Beta is released the video info is outdated. There were 3 conflicts in the course. That said, the community has done a good job filling in the gaps in the Q&A. Overall, this course is worth your time if you are looking for a fast intro to Bootstrap and are ready to do your own research on the details. I would recommend it to self-educating types of people. I would definitely watch another video by Gary, the instructor.

I really liked this course. I have a little experience with Bootstrap, but i had no experience with the npm installation and gulp so it was cool to see what bootstrap can really do beyond the CDN implementation. Quick and Easy. Gulp does have to be installed on your machine, which was not discussed in the video, but its pretty simple to do if you google it. Very nice and for free!

This was a great course to get your feet wet with Bootstrap 4. It doesn't quite work as well with the newest Bootstrap 4.0.0-beta - I ended up installing the same version as the instructor in order to follow along. This course allowed me to build a website quickly - although there was explanations throughout the creation process, it lacked depth and comprehensiveness which I didn't expect anyway. I used this course to get build something so I can go back and try and understand how elements were used.

Great quick course. Really ran through things quickly but enough to understand the responsive nature of bootstrap classes. Especially useful was setting up bootstrap project with npm and getting gulp & sass up and running. Would love to see this updated to 4-beta!

If you want to get a first impression of Bootstrap & SASS at a very basic level, this course is NO waste of time. But don´t expect in deep explainations or discussions of a topic. Pace is good and if you consider the course as a "warm up lesson" for learning Bootstrap/SASS you probably will have fun.
