Hello everyone, I'm Dragan.
Since I was a kid I dreamed about creation, about making something happen, making something alive and remarkable, something that will last forever.
As video games were my biggest passion, inspired by incredible physics and graphics back then, I started creating my own. Through my life I worked with many studios, as a freelancer and group leader, and also as both programmer and game designer.
During my game development timetable I worked in Unreal Engine, Game Maker and Unity 3D. Currently, I primarily use Unity 3D as it suits me the best if I could choose. As I've already been through a lot during my game development experience, I'm ready and glad to share my knowledge with others, so that is where I decided to make courses.

A good simple quick way into getting to use logic in C++. I ended up making mine move only once by adding a bool moveThisFrame = false; and setting that up to be called appropriately in the input and logic functions. void Logic() // The logic of Snake game { if (!moveThisFrame) return; int prevX = tailX[0]; // Remembering the first location of tail, the first o int prevY = tailY[0]; int prev2X, prev2Y; // Used for storing data of previous location of tail, second tailX[0] = x; tailY[0] = y; for (int i = 1; i = width) // Logic for passing through the wall, if X is greater that width, return it to zero, so on x = 0; else if (x = width) y = 0; else if (y < 0) y = width - 1; for (int i = 0; i < nTail; i++) //Player Death logic if (tailX[i] == x && tailY[i] == y) gameOver = true; if (x == fruitX && y == fruitY) // Fruit Eating score incrementation and tail size incrementation logic { score++; fruitX = rand() % width; fruitY = rand() % height; nTail++; } } void Input() { if (_kbhit()) { switch (_getch()) { case 'a': dir = LEFT; moveThisFrame = true; break; case 'd': dir = RIGHT; moveThisFrame = true; break; case 'w': dir = UP; moveThisFrame = true; break; case 's': dir = DOWN; moveThisFrame = true; break; case 'x': gameOver = true; break; } } } Have fun!

It was fun, and boost my motivation to learn more. I am a complete beginner, but I could finish the course in a few hours, and got a playable game at the end, pretty cool! But maybe the course needs a bit more explanation regarding syntax and stuff like this, for example, I didn't understand what is "

Prosta, a zarazem bardzo dobrze zbudowana gra. Ciekawie, dobrze opowiedziany tutorial, nawet dla początkujących, znających tylko pobieżnie C++

I like the simplicity of the example, but as it is a course for beginners, it could gain much more value for the students if more good habits are considered, e.g. clean code, naming conventions, etc. This is what I expect from an experianced programmer/teacher.

I found it reasonably easy to follow having basic C++ knowledge but it would be worth going through things a little slower for a beginners course. I would have personally re-recorded video 3 because the basic error of return 0 twice would have some people question your knowledge having made a simple mistake that early on. Overall a pleasant short course that leaves you with a functioning game of simple design.

I wouldn't say for a total beginner as the use of functions and arrays are just utilized without much explanation into how you effectively use them. I actually purchased this course to see some of the logic involved and I was pleased with it. From the game loop, rendering, logic, and input. You will certainly have the ability to make a console game of your choice using this course.

You go kinda fast explaining stuff, you don't give enough time to write the code as you to verify it, but then again I could always pause the video. Also I was excepting to make the snake look like the one on the photo of this course, at least I learned the logic and how it is made from now on I'll try to improve the game...

Honestly I was only able to grasp an understanding of what the instructor was doing because of prior C++ knowledge. If I was a complete beginner I'm afraid I would have been completely lost do to the instructor not really explaining what the for loops are doing behind the scenes.

This class does exactly what it advertises: it teaches you C++ while making a snake game. The explanations aren't too in-depth, but it doesn't advertise that. You can learn a lot from this short course and you get a project you can build on as well. I recommend this course for anyone learning C++.

Desktop theme way too dark making it difficult to see screen information very well. Explanation of shortcuts required for newbies (like myself) as used by experienced programmers - ex - To increment a value. Had to go to Google to figure it out. My rating is based on the above comments , NOT on material content
