Should have previous programming experience, including object oriented such as C++, which I have. Like the way he connects the languages and interfaces together, how they fit together such as the installation and setting up the xampp appache web server with mysql and php. in addition, what javascript or Ajax or JSON or HTML or CSS or XML are used for, their purpose. I also thiink that seeing some of the problems with running the code is helpful in that you see some of the common errors that are made and how to find and fix. The tips are very helpful too.

Brilliant. Not like a lecture. More like sitting beside a programmer who explains what he's doing as he goes along. Sometimes he makes little mistakes and goes back to correct them. Really engaging.

starts off really simple with beginners html lists & tables etc, then catapults you into the pro league of installing frameworks and all their supporting paraphernalia - I had to skip that, because 3 years since this course was published Yii installation seems a lot more complicated than I am comfortable with. There is an interesting project before that though, although in my case I couldn't get it to work 100% Even after copying & pasting the course notes I am still unable to delete any of the lists.

I really thought this was excellent. I brought a little bit to the table, I've been a developer of desktop applications so things like loops and database connections weren't new to me, but I had zero web development experience and this class really cleared up a lot of the mystery for me. As far as technical classes go, I've paid far more and received a whole lot less. Highly recommended.

I would say this is a decent course but it is not a complete web development course as their are some aspects of the lectures that need improving. The lecturer is clear but the presentation style of some of the lectures need to be more engaging instead of just using a power point presentation slide. I would not say this is a complete development course as the lecturer hints check out other home sites . Some of the content needs to be broken down further and not jam packed in a single lecturer as a beginner can get bored by long lecturers. All in all still a decent course!!!

By Golang For Me on 2/28/2015

This is an ambitious course, covering HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, JSON/AJAX, Initially, the listener could get the wrong impression that the lecturer's voice style is a little bit dry, bored and dis-interested. However, after a while the listener gets used to the voice and it works quite well. The listener realizes that the lecturer is actually quite passionate about this. The biggest drawback of this course are the final projects (at the end of each chapter), which feel rushed. The lecturer states that there is "not enough time" and that this is "tedious" (a lot of the projects involve copying and pasting from previously prepared files). However, I find that typing in every line of code helps a lot with memorizing the learning material. This does not work as well as the earlier "type with me" sections where everything is explained in full detail.

I just started to watch this course and I was amazed how good everything about basics of web programming is simply explaind. I would recommend every beginer or novice user to take a looks a this course. You found the step by step instruction witch are very easy to understand, so I highly recommend this course to anyone who want's to learn to develop websites in any language. Great Job!

By Tameala Pollock on 1/3/2015

I believe I learned more from this course than I have any other course I've taken so far. It was exactly what I needed to understand how all of these languages and frameworks and platforms work together to complete the whole picture behind the scenes. I still have a long way to go before I can consider myself a full-fledged php web developer but this course has me on the right track. Thank you so much for how thorough you were. I would get lost at times with the copy and pasting and sometimes you were a little fast on some of the topics but thankfully there is a pause button so I was able to catch up and find my mistakes.

I have zero knowledge in front end development. This class was very easy to follow and well organized. I continue to keep referring to it for reference as I advance my skills. The hardest part is pronouncing their company name, great job Eduonix!

By Wim Hoekstra on 10/29/2013

Although I believe the course to be very well presented, I also believe that the title should is not 100% correct. It is also fair enough to say that to "Learn Complete" is a very ambitious statement, which has been born out by the fact that the instructor leaves you saying that you should visit all the "Home" sites of the technologies used to learn more and actually get to grips with it. I therefore believe that he presented all the technologies used in Web Development really well with ample examples but it is left up to the student to carry on to complete the research and get all the nitty-gritty elsewhere. All in all excellent, leaves a lot of room for thought but does supply the basics!
