I've been a System Administrator and full stack developer for over 10 years, the typical profile for a DevOps engineer. I've been working in multiple organizations and startups. I've cofounded a startup that focusses on applying DevOps and Cloud. I have been training people in newer technologies, like Big Data. I've trained a lot of people working in FTSE 100 & S&P 100 companies. Today I mainly work together with companies to improve their software delivery processes, while coaching and teaching on platforms like Udemy.

Outdated contents: Openshift Origin is now OKD, and the tools presented and the way to install them are pretty much outdated with lots of manual "kubectl apply" and imperative shell scripts. Most of the concepts are still valid and well presented.

Mostly text slides that are dictated and quickly displayed demos that are hard to follow. Speech doesn't have a consistent pace / lots of words running into each other. Quite a few slides don't really explain what something is, leaving you to watch the demos and pause them so you can re-create them locally.

The course provide a wide range of solutions but not very going in deep of any, anyway is a very good course, still have to check documentation but very interesting, thanks

The fundamentals still apply however the course content is now 2 years out of date and should be updated. Kubernetes is now several major versions ahead of when this course was first published.

A good Bootcamp course with design recipes and hands on examples for building a cloud framework for on-prem servers, without investing in public cloud services.

Everything is fast, clever presented, with enough details except one small thing is missing - I would prefer in some cases ( not always when everything is a really obvious ) to have some more drawing to see before the demo starts.

This advanced course on Kubernetes far exceeds the level of details expected from it, show real use cases of integration with various toolchains to make and run kubernetes cluster!! Highly recommended for advanced users. Only downside I feel is that the version of these tool chains have changed and thus users have to use their own jurisprudence.

This course is very well built. A must have if you want to learn how to run on-premise Kubernetes clusters. It adds up nicely with the basic Kubernetes course from the same instructor. Demos are all working and easy to follow. Very much recommended.

Great course on advanced Kubernetes topics that is not available anywhere else. The instructor is very responsive and answers questions in due time. The course style is not my favourite though. The author tells us to deploy some file via kubectl create -f path/to/some/file.yaml. I would prefer if the author would develop these files together with the audience as opposed to pulling it out from some git repo. I would further prefer to obtain more background information on the options and the keys that can be set within the configuration files. Ideally, the author could open the official documentation i.e. of rook or other service documentation, and side by side explain where we could find additional information about a topic. I just write this down for improvement of upcoming courses. The content is nonetheless very good and again you will not find most of this anywhere else.

I just started on this course. I completed section 3 Installing Kubernetes. This video is a great asset to add to a Developer/DevOps collection. I watched Edwards demo to install a Kubernetes node on DigitalOcean. I then modified Edwards example to install on VMs on my laptop. I provisioned three Ubuntu 16.04 VMs using Vagrant. One VM is for the master. The other two VMs are for the nodes. I was able to complete the installation. I now know how to install a Kubernetes cluster on the cloud or on premise! Note: Provisioning using Vagrant is not covered in the course. I am anxious to view the remaining chapters especially the one about Istio. One advice I would give to Edward is to change the title of the course. Each section is actually a recipe. A more appropriate title would be Kubernetes Advance Recipes Part 1. Each section in the video can be viewed and implemented on their own. For example, if you want to know how to use Rook then just watch those videos. I'd like to see Edward continue to make videos based on the recipe format as more Kubernetes technology mature. For example, Kubernetes Advance Recipes Part 2 could cover other CNCF.io projects. Please keep making these videos Edward. I have purchased six of your courses. I have learned a lot from watching your videos. Thank you for creating these videos.
