Course Description
In this course you will learn how to deploy scalable applications using DevOps techniques. Why DevOps? It is one of the most sought after skills in the IT industry. The average salary in the US is $105,000 per year (source: Glassdoor), up to an average of $146,000 in San Fransisco (source: Indeed).
The course is aimed at software engineers, database and system administrators that want to deliver software that is scalable, reliable, available, manageable and still cost effective. Other IT professionals can also take this course, but might have to do some extra research to understand some of the concepts.
You will learn how to improve your applications and databases by applying techniques to scale your software. I will explain how to scale your application using proven automation, configuration management, provisioning and deployment tools. I also cover newer tools like Docker, Kubernetes and Deis.
The course is very practical. There are 3 use cases I will be explaining in detail. All the code is available for you to reuse on Github. If you get stuck with the technology while trying, there is support available. I will answer your messages on the message boards and we have a Facebook group where you can post questions.

I've been a System Administrator and full stack developer for over 10 years, the typical profile for a DevOps engineer. I've been working in multiple organizations and startups. I've cofounded a startup that focusses on applying DevOps and Cloud. I have been training people in newer technologies, like Big Data. I've trained a lot of people working in FTSE 100 & S&P 100 companies. Today I mainly work together with companies to improve their software delivery processes, while coaching and teaching on platforms like Udemy.

Quite old, not that much useful content. It's essentially super basic and doesn't really go any deeper than puddle level. Course sadly hasn't seen an update in all this time.

I was looking more for a high-level overview of DevOps, and this gets way into the details of scripting and coding. There does not seem to be a course in the catalog for what I'm looking for.

I would like to see more detailed information about how to design, deployment, configuring, monitoring and operating and environment based on Dokku and Deis.

The contents of the course is pretty good. The presentation ist okay-ish—it's mostly text slides read out loud, followed by a demo with actual code. The font size varies a lot; slides work well on mobile, terminal sessions not so much.

This is my second course that i purchased. I found his compact delivery with live demos and labs very useful to quickly get up to speed on these technologies and build my own. Very useful .. highly recommended

Great course on using DevOPS/Instracture as Code technologies to scale apps on AWS and DigitalOcean. Demo/labs are very engaging.

It is already the second course I watch of this author. The explanations are clear. The pace seems to be bit faster for who is not used with the technology. imo this course it better than the "Learn Devops: Continuously Deliver Better Software".

This course is really great. I am extremely impressed with the instructor and the technologies used. Very impressive overall. Best of both worlds: Doesn't always go into depth on the actual source/scripts/configs, which benefits some newer people. But since it's all available on Github, you have that to be able to do a deeper dive on your own then and reference that content for those interested in that. This course is worth your time, the modest money spent to take it and I believe you will benefit from having done so.

Been following along his course and its purely hands on what makes DevOps culture of sharing and automating is all about... He demonstrated and clear any doubts for each and every command he stated from the lecture specially to give his best to explain in a very high level and not nose bleed terms for beginners... Very recommneded course try it out!
By Rafael Rosas Castro on 10/12/2016
Good course, great approach to tools, 4 1/2 stars because while I understand that DevOps is so huge on tooling that we would need some 15 more hours explaining each command, the demos felt kind of rushed, now onto test everything myself! Recommended 100%
