The course is a great. Alex provides a thorough explanation on what a code does and what way a code is used in an application. It is well paced and the overall content is but fitting for a beginner or even advanced student. Definitely recommend to anyone.

The instructor seems very knowledgeable, but tends to introduce methods, operators, and other concepts very quickly without slowing down to explain how they're related or why they're used.

This class is horrible. It jumps around from concept to concept. It is not fluent. The teacher is constantly correcting himself. The classes would take half the time if he didn't mutter "ummm, hmmm, ummm" over and over. He also flies over the important hard stuff, yet goes into detail about very basic stuff. Very disappointing.

Great course, but needs improvements. Some tutorials are outdated, some needs more OOP, some needs functions to be updated (mysql to PDO or mysqli and ect). Still happy about this course, very detail on basics. Good way to start programming PHP.

This is a pretty good course on PHP.
Positves
- Author is a very good communicator with an obvious knowledge of PHP.
- Chapters are concise and to the point perfect for future reference on a given topic.
Negatives
- I feel the authors forgot this was a "from scratch" course. They assume student understanding some concepts/functions that many students just won't understand.
- No final project. How is a student suppose to have sense of accomplishment/understanding if there is no final project encompassing the majority of what was learned?
Conclusion
- Would not hesitate to purchase another course from the same author but this course needs more work.
