Course Description

Introduction

Want to make beautiful game ready stylized props? Blender is slowly being adopted by big companies such as Ubisoft and EA as well as many up and coming indie studios as their main software of choice to make game art! While the software is impressive with many features and affordability, the documentation for a game art workflow in blender is still scarce, I hope to bring the necessary information and techniques you help you transition or start making game assets with blender

Learn all the necessary tools and tips to create game ready assets while creating 2 stylized projects from scratch. The goal of this course is to bridge the gap to create game art with more affordable software but still keeping industry standard workflows. For the best experience, the entire project takes a hands on approach to learning and you build all the assets from scratch. The source files are also provided for reference and study.

The teaching is actually great, but I had some bugs on my project during the first part and after trying to contact I got no help. Even tried to find a way to fix after searching a lot but didn't fixt it and couldn't finish the course.

I really enjoyed this course. The first half flew by, while the second half got a bit more complex due to the additional details that required closer attention. Many concepts were explained so clearly that I barely had any questions which is rare for me, as I usually have more questions halfway through than at the start. The explanations were detailed and practical, making it easy to build your own models using the same techniques. Big thanks I’ll definitely take notes and apply some of these methods to my future projects!

It was cool, easy to understand and best working class so far. Something I don't like was that it happens to be different at some parts when I tried to make similar textures or maybe some blender coding that it looks different but ultimately its totally up to me that how it must look according to that, so yeah it was a great experience and thank you for this course.

Great course. I've learned a lot of practical things from it and can finally start creating my own game assets. I would reccomend this course to anyone wanting to pursue a career in gaming industry. I really liked how simple the instructor's workflow was and what made it more enjoyable to follow was his pleasant voice :D I would be happy to try more courses from you. Cheers!

Excellent beginner friendly tutorial for all who start out. I really enjoyed it while going through it even though I am already familiar with all that. The only issue I had is that for some reason I wasn't able to apply a brush alpha to get that "blocky" sculpt but that's probably on my end. Overall great experience and I highly recommend it to everyone. Cheers!

It's definitely one of the best courses I've taken so far on the 3D topic. The instructor is clear, the pipeline seems very well planned, easy to follow and every step makes sense. The instructors style of teaching is great, you're not drowned in unnecessary pile information, but everything is explained and he isn't just showing you how to achieve some result, but gives you some insight into the 'why', which, I think is very valuable and essential. What I particularly liked are the small introduction bits before each section, split into bite-sized videos, right before need it. I think this is much more useful than having one, very long introduction section at the beginning with all the information poured on you all at once, way before you actually get to use it in practice. My only complaint is that sometimes the instructor just clicks way too quickly without narrating which texture/map he was using in Painter, so I have to pause the video to see it. Overall, it's a great course from a great instructor.

Honestly one of the best courses on Udemy. The pace, the way of teaching and the topics covered match perfectly my need as a developer wishing to become more independent artistically. I had some Blender knowledge and hadn't never opened SP before and I always found very hard understanding UV unwrapping and texturing. This course covered both topics clearly and my workflow has improved soooo much to the point I am no longer scared of making my assets. Going from dropping ideas because you're missing the assets to being able to create them yourself is just a huge unlock. Thanks Victor!

İngilizce anlamakta sıkıntı çekmiyorsanız bu kursu kesinlikle öneriyorum. Eğitmen gerçekten güzel bir hızda anlatıyor, saatlerce saçma açıklamalar yapmıyor, direkt konuya giriyor. Normalde Udemy'den çok fazla kurs aldım ve hepsini min x1.25 te izlerim, bunu normal hızda dinledim, dikkat dağınıklığı yaşamadım, harika bir hızda anlatıyor. Udemy'de en sevdiğim kurs oldu. Harika bir kurs.

A lot of helpful prep work on creating a usable prop for your game engine. I learnt a lot. Victor's workflow and his replies to previous questions remain excellent. I heavily recommend this course as it shows a very clear and beneficial workflow. I just got myself another course of his, and I am excited to learn more from Victor.

Stylized game asset creation was all I was looking for and there were some sources both paid and free but this course is SERVING it. I was comfortable with basic modelling Blender but never used Substance Painter. The course is very easy to follow and FUN. I almost am done with the hammer and have learned a lot about sculpting, baking and substance painter. Can't wait to get to the sword. One of the most satisfying courses I have taken.
