its not for beginners as you don't learn any html, css, java or php so if you wanna buy this course hopefully you have some prior experience. i'd recommend this to people who are interested in dipping their toes on wordpress theme development but has taken basic web dev experience from before. This feels more like a good spot to practice and get to know some wordpress hooks and such. Some issues though is that the course is a bit outdated and its pretty much just copy paste kind of course. Most of the content is a bit repetitive but as i said, it feels more like a practice making wordpress theme course than anything so if you enjoy that i guess this will work.

Overall, this is a good course if you are looking to understand custom themes and WordPress pages. However, there are a few lectures that are really out of date. The lectures using INK framework and Foundations framework have coding that is now depreciated and it took a while to figure out how to set up the pages to work with the rest of the lectures. There is a missing lecture as well called Dynamo Theme that was mentioned in the wrap-up summary video that is not in the main core of lectures. So that was a little bit of a bummer. But overall, Brad is an excellent instructor and I definately found this site to help as I continue learning how to build WordPress themes.

First of all, you need to realize that this is a course for beginners and you will learn how to create themes, but considering that it is for beginners do not expect to be creating custom stuff. It is a good starting point and will introduce new things that you can build on. The instructor was easy to follow and understand. The only thing that could be a bit better is for the instructor to focus less on repetition and more on in-depth explanation when introducing new functionalities. All in all, worth the money and clears some things up so have fun.

Overall, I really enjoyed the course and have watched several sections a couple time, I feel like I've gotten more out of it every time. The instructor is good, knowledgeable, etc. That said, some of the content is pretty outdated, so I ran into problems with actually following along with a couple of the projects I tried. If I knew more about what I was doing, I guess that wouldn't be a problem, but I don't know how to problem solve some of these issues yet. Overall, a good experience.

10 exercises in the fundamentals, no frills. Definitely great practice for beginners. If you're looking for refined visual design, plugins, APIs, workflow, deployment, or anything more on the intermediate side of web development, skip this course. If you know the basics of theme development and want to hone speed and understanding, take this course. +1 for the wicked Boston accent

Another great course from Eduonix with interesting and beautifully designed projects. As usual, Brad introduces the viewers to many web technologies. While this course helps you understand how Wordpress works, I can highly recommend another course – Wordpress Theme Development with Bootstrap by Brad Hussey that will show you how to do the same things faster and more efficiently using plugins.

Very comprehensive course with a lot of information packaged for those who need to know how to apply this and immediately make something real and usable. The instructor is quick and detailed, won't waste a second of your time. If you're a complete novice with html, css and any kind of programming language, you might get confused at certain moments, but if you had even a little bit of experience, it's easy to follow. If you need to know how to make wordpress themes, this is the right course!

It's challenging. You definitely need to have a good background in CSS and HTML, and I even recommend a good background in PHP. Not for beginners, but very in depth. I originally had 5 stars but took a star off because they didn't update for new technology. i know this was made in 2016, but it's the end of 2017 and the Bootstrap Beta is out so you have to learn all of this on an old version, which I just don't think is a good idea. Spent a lot of time looking up new classes and other things of that nature.

great course.great content .......i have knowledge of wp initially but making themes from stratch was something I didn't have knowledge of but i feel that there should be more things to be included in the course like in ecomerce theme "add to cart ", wishlist functionalities , multi level menu making in bootstrap currently only for submenu items .......because these are the things that are not easily found on internet. Rest the course is great ........author have in depth knowledge and also reply to your Queries and doubts . If any body wish to leaarn how to make themes then go for this course without a second thought.

I am currently at Project 5 and have to say that this is probably my most favorite of Eduonix's. If you are looking to learn how to build themes, getting the foundation on how wordpress works this is a must take course, I've also taken the 10 build plugins project and makes it a great combo for learning wordpress. I feel comfortable now digging in some premium themes and getting into the code with no worries. Next should be how to use the WP API, good job Eudonix!
