Course Description
Creating low-poly vehicles is an essential skill for Unity game developers looking to build optimized and stylized 3D assets. In this course, you’ll learn how to model cars, trucks, vans, and other vehicles using Blender 3D, with a strong focus on problem-solving and improvisation in game asset creation.
Instead of relying on step-by-step blueprints, this course encourages you to break down each vehicle into smaller, manageable problems and approach modeling in a more intuitive and creative way. This technique helps you develop a deeper understanding of 3D design principles, making it easier to tackle any modeling challenge with confidence.
You’ll start by learning how to analyze vehicle shapes and proportions, then move into blocking out primary forms, refining them into a functional low-poly structure. From there, we’ll work through the process of adding key details that define each type of vehicle while keeping polycounts efficient for real-time rendering.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a set of game-ready low-poly vehicles modeled in Blender, as well as an improved ability to solve modeling challenges on the fly. Whether you’re designing assets for a stylized racing game, an open-world project, or a mobile game, this course will help you develop stronger modeling instincts and a more streamlined workflow.
This course is best suited for experienced Blender users who want to further develop their improvisation skills and problem-solving mindset while creating game assets for Unity and other game engines.

I started on my creative journey about 40 years ago as a musician. Through the decades, I have picked up a wide variety of skills, with over 20 years as an accomplished website developer, programmer, graphics artist, photographer, journalist, published author, video game developer, 3D modeler and animator!
I have done lots of work for a wide variety of business over the years. In the last decade, I have taken to Unity for game development with six games published on Steam so far. I'm very excited to be a full time game developer, and equally pleased to pass down some of my knowledge to you!
My friends describe me as a highly driven individual with a wide range of skills, capable of doing anything. I describe myself as curious, intuitive and above all.. honest.

This is a course straight to the point. You need to have good fundamentals of Blender to take it, but it's not something too difficult to learn. Great content. 100% recommended.

The Low-Poly Vehicle course is a good introduction to getting simple models created in Blender and imported into Unity. The overlay onto the standard asset vehicle in Unity so as to reuse its controller, smooth camera follow etc was nice.

I have purchased all three of Billy's Blender course', they are all excellent course'. Direct and to the point and not a lot of fluff ( which is what I personally like ). If you are a beginner to intermediate blender user, you really can't go wrong with his course'. You will learn what you need to learn.

Very good. I love how the teacher recommends that we do things on our own first based on what we learned so far, and the way he explains how and why some things need to be done.

The instructor is very clear when discussing the development of an object. Course is well done, not basic, but difficult enough to hold my interest.

Great tutorial, still currently going through some of it so from what I've seen so far its a 4.5 star rating from me :)

I appreciate the honesty that this is not a beginner's course. The pace is fast but, so far, the material is easy to follow for anyone with more than a little experience with Blender.

Another fantastic entry in Billy's series of Blender courses. If you have little or no experience with Blender then I'd definitely recommend taking Billy's other courses before progressing to this one.
