With the release of Unity 5 building games was never easier!!!
This is a course I wish I had when I first started to learn game development.
The course is completely project based, and we are going to create 6 fully featured games from scratch using Unity Game Engine.
We will start with simple things so you will be comfortable if you are using Unity for the first time.
You will also benefit from my super fast response if you have any issue that you are stuck with(I check Udemy forums every day if someone posts a question). Oh and all the students taking the course will also be there to help you!
All project files will be included and you are free to use them for anything that you like, personal or commercial use!
Lets take a look at the games that we are going to create inside of this course:
We are going to start with a simple game that I call Jack The Giant. In this game we are going to help Jack climb down the beanstalk, along the way we can jump on white clouds but we need to avoid dark clouds. Besides of creating our gameplay we are going to create menus, implement background music, implement admob ads and much much more.
The next game that we are going to create is Flappy Bird, and I know what you are thinking oh not another Flappy Bird clone, but this is not a regular Flappy Bird clone, oh no, I've added a lot of features that you can't find in any other flappy bird clone such as selecting a bird(choose between different flappy birds), implementing tweeter and many other features that you will see inside of the course.
After Flappy Bird we are going to create one of the most popular games out there - Infinite Runner!! In this game we are going to see how can we implement features such as quads to represent our backgrounds, spawning obstacles and destroying them, recycling obstacles, implementing google play game services and much much more.
Next game that we are going to create is going to be a 2D Plaformer game that I call Spider Cave. In this game our player is able to fly and he needs to collect diamonds in order to exit out of the level, what he needs to avoid though are the spiders that lure inside the cave. We are going to have a spider shooter who shoots our player, spider jumper who tries to eat our player when the player is above him and spider walker who simply walks left and right. For the first time we are going to implement simple AI(Artificial Intelligence) in our games, and you can use these techniques in your own games that you will create!
After our spider cave we are going to create a nice puzzle game, which a kids game. In this game we are going to implement a lot of features such as creating the whole game in one single scene!! We are going to see how can we compare images to each other in order to check if we have a correct guess, we are going to use the mechanim system a lot in this game in order to animate our menus, that and much more awaits you in this lecture.
The final game that we are going to create is a game that is called Ball Panic. This is the largest game that we are going to create in this course and the game covers a lot of topics everybody is interested in, such as creating a level and character lock/unlock system, creating weapons menu in order to select a weapon for our player, creating level menu and unlocking those levels, implementing video and interstitial ads and in app purchase, that and much more awaits you in this lecture.

Awesome Tuts
We Help People Master Game Development And Get Hired In The Best Game Studios In The World
Awesome Tuts is run by Fahir who has been creating video games and teaching people how to do the same since 2015.
I started my programming journey as an android and iOS developer but quickly moved to game development as that was my passions since I was 10 years old.
During the last 9 years I developed strong skillset in C#, C++, Unity, and Unreal Engine and have created over 100 games in both engines and published games on google play and apple store.
I'm also very knowledgeable about programming patterns, code structures and writing clean, readable and maintainable code.
But most importantly I'm very efficient in teaching others everything I know. During the last 9 years hundreds of thousands of students enrolled in my game development courses and I've helped them learn game development.
I've also helped quite a few people who I worked with closely, get hired in game studios.
If your dream is to become a game developer, master programming and fullfill your passions of creating games, then you're in the right place.

Overall an acceptable course. The teacher speaks good English, clear and slowly enough so that it can be understood even for non-English students. Unfortunately, it has the following flaws: it is not up to date; the explanations become brisk and superficial, especially in the final sections; some sections are chaotic (for example section 8, Ball Panic); section 10 is absolutely useless, in fact it deals with Unity 4.5); sections on Android and plugins are useless because they are obsolete. In any case, I can say that section 3, Jack The Giant Recreated In Unity 5, is the one made better and I would recommend the author to update the others following the spirit, detail and "didactic patience" of the cited section 3.

The course offers a rich content, with many examples. My main problem with it is that it is not structured as a course per se, in the sense there's no motivation for what it's being done, implementation comes before explanation, etc This compromises the understanding of some programming decisions at points, which only later are made more clear. The course also has none exercises or challenges. And those that have tried to learn basically any skill will understand that this is an important issue. I wouldn't say this is a great course to learn what is happening, but it provides a wealth of examples and many ways of achieving the same result. The instructor replies fairly quickly to the questions, which helps. As my first Unity3D course, I ended up learning a lot after putting some extra effort into contextualising and predicting the implementation of different programming solutions, but I would have liked a better structured curriculum and lessons.

About the course: well structured, engaging and fun. I did learn a lot of new techniques and I feel much more comfortable starting my own game dev project. Sometimes I wish the instructor slows down his pace, but overall, the progression is reasonable. About the instructor: There is no doubt that Fahir is a great instructor and that he knows his stuff when it comes to Game Dev, however, the code he writes is often very messy and is not what you would be expected to produce in a professional environment. I understand that this course targets beginners with zero coding experience but I think having a much more readable code can save students valuable time when debugging or even when they need to open up the project and review the code.

Well the course was good and it provided a good basic understanding of the Unity. The lessons were quite similar in type (except the Memory Game, which I found quite hard because there were so many scripts and references), but I think the level of those lessons raised a bit every time. I would suggest more advanced C# course, so you can keep up more easily and you can find more ways to simplify your code. Saving data to a cloud service would have been nice, so your data isn't saved just for one device. All in all this course provided a good basic knowledge and now I can search for more advanced examples if I have to. You just need to understand the basics and make more generic code and be creative when handling these things.

I have almost finished this course and, in my opinion, this is one of the very best courses on Unity you can find (and I have tried five or six). The instructor is very calm and explains (almost) every concept (and I say "almost" because some concept are too hard for beginners to understand, and there he just ask us to follow, and I really expect the explanation will come when he thinks we are prepared for it). Also, something very valuable of this course is that the instructor answers your questions very quickly, and even offers to review your work personally (!!!!) if you cannot find the solution in the forum. Finally, there is a good deal of cooperation among the learners in the forums, and although most of us are beginners, we try to help each other as far as our limited skills allow. Definitely, if I can afford the time, I will take every course this instructor offers.

This is one of the better courses on Udemy for 2D game development with the Unity 5 game engine for beginners. Well explained. DEFINITELY NOT A YOUTUBE QUALITY COURSE. AS the instructor explains the course is not designed to teach everything about C# scripting and Unity(that is a lot), you will gain a strong foundation of skills and knowledge of not only the two subjects but deploying to GooglePlay, uploading to social media and generating monetary revenue from video and regular ads in your games! I love it!! Teaching methods will bring you to intermediate/ Advanced level with Unity 5 game development when the whole course is completed. Books and Udemy C# classes are always excellent reference learning tools!

This course is a must!Definitely one best courses ever! This course helps me a lot. Not only I learn a lot about Unity and programming but also after the course I start a job as junior Unity developer.I work from home and its like dream come true. I never believe in this type of stories over the internet but now I see this is possible and it happens to me. The instructor explains everything in detail and do it again and again. It is easy and fun to learn. Also the course is updated every time when there is something new in Unity or they release new version of unity and old features don`t work as before.Which I find very important and this is something that make this course so great. The team answers you questions ! After this course you have 6 games that you can develop further or use them as a portfolio. You are getting the best for your money when you buy this course and you will not regret!

This course clearly expects the student to have had some prior experience with the Unity game engine. Being somewhat of a beginner myself, I (and this is after only going over a couple of projects) often found myself getting lost in the complexity of the code after the tenth or twelfth lesson. Despite this, I can say that there is something that users of all levels can take from these lessons. You go through six fully featured games (the instructor even shows you how to add in-game ads into the final product) from scratch and get to work with Unity's interface, so; you will become familiar with all the buttons, windows, and drop down menus. The coding aspect of this course is where some might get lost but I believe that the exposure that you get from these lessons is guaranteed to teach something new to Unity c# programmers of all levels. Some perseverance is required though.

Even though this course is for beginners, it's a great course that teaches you basics from a practical approach. The course will then start to get more challenging (which is expected). I just finished the first game I already feel like I've learned plenty. He goes through the course quickly (in the sense that he wastes no time in trying to get everyone up to speed). The first section teaches you the common techniques that are used and when they are used. This is clearly demonstrated in the upcoming games that you'll be making. So I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to learn Unity fast.

This course is absolutely fantastic. The instructor definitely knows what he's doing and he goes step by step from scratch until the whole project is done. This is by no means an easy course, but if you are dedicated to reach your goal, you will eventually get there. It's all in there, but you might have to rewind a lot of times to get all the information, as you will learn tons of things in here. You will just about learn anything you will want to know about building apps. The coding is not easy for a beginner, but it can be done with some additional research and lots of dedication and passion. If your dream is to create an App for the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, take this course, stick to it and get it done. I just released my first game in the store and I can tell you one thing: It's a great feeling!
