Firstly, a lot of practical stuff was covered that is likely going to be used quite often by many users. His explanations were to the point and there is no fluff. Time Intelligence was covered really well and what I really liked is how he paired similar DAX formulas together to show how they do the same thing thus helping me choose the more intuitive ones for my daily use. Great stuff. Thanks!

I thought the course was very good and I would definitely recommend it. I have completed several Power BI courses by now, and with each one I feel that my understanding deepens and more pieces of the puzzle fall into place. If I were to mention one thing, it is not really a criticism of this course specifically, but rather of how training providers in general sometimes market DAX courses. There can be an impression that completing a course will make you highly proficient in DAX, whereas my experience is that mastery comes gradually through a combination of training and practical application. This course certainly helped me understand important concepts and connected several pieces of knowledge, but I would not say that I can work completely effortlessly with DAX yet. That said, I am using Power BI much more today than I did before, when I relied almost exclusively on Excel, which remains my strongest area. Step by step, I am becoming more comfortable with Power BI and DAX. With continued learning and by building more reports, I expect to reach the point where creating reports feels natural and intuitive. For now, I still spend a fair amount of time learning from existing reports, revisiting my own previous work, and using AI tools as a support. Overall, however, this course has been a valuable step forward in that journey.

I would give the first two-thirds of the course a 5-star rating. I like that there were many examples and that I was exposed to many of the sophisticated concepts that I did not learn in introductory courses. This was great for me through much of the course but in the last several lessons of the updated course it seemed to be less focused and I was not as engaged.

Dear Sir (Respected Sam McKay), After completing this DAX course, I would like to share my below thoughts: (1) This is one of the best course to make sound concepts in DAX. Everyone should complete your course. (2) Selection of dataset is very simple and outstanding with regards to understanding, practicing and analyzing. (3) You have covered almost all essentials concepts, technics and verticals in DAX. (4) You have covered peculiar DAX charts also which are only possible with advance DAX calculations. (5) English captions are available in all videos which are very helpful for students from India. (6) You have also provided information about your personal platforms for the students who wants to make career in data science and data analysts. (7) After completing your course I got confidence and sound understanding in DAX. Your teaching methods and strategies is very much amicable and matured. (8) Salute to you for your selfless service and endeavors.

I recently completed an exceptional course on Power BI, designed to enhance the skills of both students and professionals. The course covers a comprehensive range of topics, starting with the basics and progressing to advanced concepts, all supplemented with practical hands-on exercises. I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to deepen their expertise in Power BI.

This is a great course. I found it very logical thinking to slowly build up from the basics to more complex DAX; understanding terms like row and filter context; understanding when to use certain functions and why. I would recommend this to anyone who is new at or even more experience at using Power BI and DAX but want to really understand the fundementals.

Though the course was amazing, it would have been great if the course contained more practical approach, I mean assignments topic wise and more to do with practicality of a function or a measure, a project would have been great. All I wanted was a practical approach which would help register the concepts forever in my mind. I mean I should be able to reproduce a Measure based on a Scenario. The Course was very informative and a great learning though. Thanks

I feel like the lessons should be planned out more. It's hard to follow along because only sometimes are we told what the end goal is. This would also help with the length of the course, which is quite long. There should be quizzes or practice questions between sections Also, the quiz at the end had some questions twice, the phrasing of questions/answers was sometimes illogical, and there were radio buttons used when we were instructed to choose all that apply. The course did a good job of highlighting the power of PBI/DAX. The enthusiasm helped keep me interested.

This course definitely exceeded my expectations. It covers wide range of DAX formulas and the lectures are well structured. The teacher keeps my attention always on because of dynamic way of expressing the topic what I appreciate the most. Also, here is better then anywhere else explained concept of basic DAX contexts. Thank you for this great course!

This was the second course I took by Sam McKay about DAX. It was interestingly taught, with a solid course outline, and interesting digressions and flash-forwards to really keep my interest! Sam reviewed the basics of DAX, but soon moved up a level or two with the content. I paused the video frequently and typed in the formulas myself. Through the repetition and explanations, I felt like this was a valuable learning exercise. Sam's style is certainly unique. Very informal, light on the formal theory, but heavy on the practical side and insights. I appreciated his comments on which formulas he relied upon, and which he rarely had use for. Thanks again for putting together a great course! Andy
