Course Description
Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) is a recommended entry point into IT certification. Pass just one exam and you’ll earn a certification!
NOTE: This is a legacy course covering Windows 7. The latest version of the exam covers Windows 10, I have this course available, however, it is still a good idea to learn about Windows 7.

I think so. Occasionally he would go on tangents over my head, but overall found the course helpful. Had small issues with accent and close caption not interpreting correctly. There were mention of a couple downloads available that i could not find, specifically the one from itpracticeexam.net that listed basic IT Terms

To this date, I've only been in IT Infrastructure for almost 3 years. I came into an enterprise environment with zero experience. I did learn a lot on the job and continue to do so. Many of the topics here were pretty basic and is what I should've started learning when I started working in IT. There are a lot of items covered with Windows 7 and 8 and added classes with Windows 10 (which I had to learn when I started). Overall, I think this is a good class for those looking for fundamentals to learn.

This course does not support it's name. Microsoft requirements for the MTA Windows OS Fundamentals 98-349 were presented very late in the course and basically, all lectures are oriented to very new starters in Windows, not to someone who is trying to get the certification. I only found real content in lectures 45 and 51, the rest is extremely basic. I would not recommend this course to anyone trying to pass the exam.

25% complete: 3 stars. So far, I haven't learned much more than is obtainable from a few Microsoft support pages. I'm unsure of why the course is segmented into so many tiny videos, two or three of which most people can skip before getting to any info that is substantial. 50% complete: Upgraded to 4 stars. Anyone that's been using PCs for any length of time should already know about 75% of the material covered. There are some gems of new knowledge here and there. If you're totally new to using PCs and are looking for an excellent starting point, this is it. 100% complete: Leaving it at 4 stars. It's a good primer for people who have little to no PC experience, but if you've been using PCs for 5+ years in a approaching-power-user capacity, you'll be bored with a lot of the material.

It's a great course if you already have a basic/medium experience with Windows OS. A bit advanced if you are a complete Newbie on Windows. It's easy to follow. It'll be a great feature (I think it's a UDEMY thing) to let speed up video playback)

Video course is a summary of the 98-349 certification. If you have prior experience on the subject cover, this course serves as a review of key points. If you have no experience, then you will need more than this course. Overall, it was good.
By Kenneth Boxall on 7/21/2015
I found this course easy to follow there were problems trying to load up the virtual box because I didn't have windows boot discs but that was a problem on my end not the in-structures.

I've been out of IT for a few years, took this course as a referesher. Was well paced, covered a good range of topics, and seems to be good preparation for taking the 98-349 MTA test. Also enjoyed the extra subject matter covered, such as remote access solutions and other utilities. Nicely done.
