Great course for setting up the Synology NAS. Seems like this course can be used to set up other Synology NAS models. Wished there was a way to contact the instructor to ask questions about the capabilities of the Synology NAS.

Not bad course as for the begginners like me! May be the author shoud update it time after time, because Synolgy completely changed some DSM programs into another ones (e.g Synology Drive is quite new, but was mentioned here under its old name), and it takes a lot of time to find what was replaced in DSM and what its new name and functions. But generally the course is good for those who first time open a Synology NAS world! Thank you!

It is very nice and very informative course with a very short videos and direct to the point without waffle! I strongly recommended for everyone who wants to get a good idea and a general overview to learn Network Attached Storage (NAS) for Beginners!

The demonstrated features of NAS in the Network Section were the basics and only the default options for setting things up were presented. Since this is a course either for free or for beginners, some more advanced options could be shown and explained.

While not directly what I was looking for it was informative. I was looking more for how to use a NAS as backup to my PCs, not really a mass storage device. So what I gleamed though was maybe I was looking at my requirements incorrectly.

Thank you. I like the briefness of this course and appreciated the extra bits about Networks and server Windows 2016. Maybe an exercise/task could have been implemented. Overall I really enjoyed.

I enjoyed first part, because I learned new things that I didn´t know, but he could say more informations when he was seeting up applications, because you want to know more than just "click there, leave the seeting as they are and press ok". And second part(bonus), was just a mix of random IT things and it shouldn´t be there, because it´s not even about NAS

NAS is a great way to have a backup on your home network and I highly recommend having one. Small Office Home Office should not be without one. This course introduces you to a Synology unit and is geared towards that manufacturer, but there are others and this class shows in detail some of the extra perks that the Synology units have. I personally use Buffalo NAS units for simple backup and don't need all the bells and whistles, but that is what makes it great, you can tailor one unit to perform certain tasks, so take a look and Marious does have some additional bonus videos for other areas as a quick introduction.

This course is short but good for any beginner who wants to build NAS at home. Moreover, the feature of Synology Cloud Station (e.g. Chapter 7) is very impressive to me because it allows you to sync your data from multiple platforms, centralizing it on your NAS keeping historic versions of all your important files. Great Job !

Each time Marius does a course the quality of the videos gets better and better. He clearly spends a lot of time and money on these courses. As for this course i just want to go out and buy a NAS drive and play. The NAS drive he runs the course with seems ideal with lots and lots of applications built in. Well done Marius another great course
