Course Description

Learn How to use Git for your Version Control System to Manage Your Code, including Git Commits, Branches, Merging, Pull Requests, and More!

If you’re just getting started with Git or any version control—or still feel unsure whenever you see terms like commit, branch, or merge—this course is for you.

I created this course to take the confusion out of learning Git. You don’t need to be a developer or have years of IT experience. Whether you're new to tech, switching careers, or just tired of copy-pasting commands you don’t fully understand, Git Made Easy will give you the practical skills to manage code with confidence.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Install Git and get up and running fast

  • Create and clone repositories

  • Track your work with commits and branches

  • Push and pull code from GitHub

  • Resolve merge conflicts and work through real collaboration scenarios

  • Understand what Git is actually doing under the hood—without being overwhelmed

We’ll also go beyond the basics with tips for working with remotes, stashing changes, reviewing code, and using pull requests. Plus, you’ll get bonus content like a Markdown primer to help make your documentation shine.

This course is designed to be short, friendly, and highly practical—perfect for beginners, career changers, or anyone looking for a clear path to understanding Git. I keep the language simple, explain every step with amazing graphics, and make sure no one gets left behind.

By the end, you’ll not only know the Git commands—you’ll understand when and why to use them.

Nice overview and great for going over words expected to hear later one so you don't hear them for the fist time during lecture/hands one. I like how Bryan gives a big over view and then dives into the material, it really lets you know what you are about to get into.

This course was clear and concise, explaining all core concepts and commands in git in an easy to understand way. The usage of slides made everything seem intuitive.

This is a good course to build some foundations when you start your Git journey. The labs are a good addition and I liked the way the video and the practice screens were one click away from one another. One notable absence was the lack of installation steps for Git on windows which include asking lots of questions when Git is being first installed (e.g. do you want the branch to be called main or master). I think it would benefit Windows users if a small module was added for this.

This was really great. I've neglected using GIT at all for a few years so a great refresher and really concise. I'll definitely be coming back to the Role Plays.

I really enjoyed the course. It is complete and has lots of material to learn about it. The speakers is clear and knows how to transmit the information.

The Lab Test did not work as expected, you were missing a step for the "hello-git" repository. I couldn't pull in from Github and instead had to clone it in

The course serves the purpose, I was looking for a short but comprehensive startup course for Git and GitHub, this course provides exactly that.

As someone who has worked in the development space as a Test Engineer for over 10 years, I have never needed to use GitHub in my day-to-day work. Because of that, this course was essential for me — and I genuinely enjoyed it. The concepts were explained clearly, and I always understood what was happening and, more importantly, why. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone who is new to GitHub or looking to build a solid foundation. Bryan does an excellent job of breaking down GitHub concepts and workflows in a clear, structured, and easy-to-follow way. As a result of this course, I now feel confident documenting and sharing my cybersecurity learnings and projects on GitHub without unnecessary obstacles. This was the primary reason I enrolled, as I want to be able to showcase what I am learning to potential employers. Thank you, Bryan.
