Would you like to overcome the impact of unconscious bias during your job interviews?
Or would you like to put the odds on your side to choose the right candidates?
This training is for you!
Our brain likes to save energy. It is for this reason that he takes shortcuts to make decisions. These shortcuts are based in part on our past decisions, our experiences, our beliefs, our prejudices, our culture and many other factors.
We do not see the world as it is, but rather we see a representation of the world, often distorted by all these mental filters.
Cognitive biases are involved in all stages of recruitment, whether at the level of the description of the job offer. Whether during the interview or after the interviews when you have to choose from one or more candidates.
Knowing about these cognitive biases and especially knowing how to prevent them from misleading you will give you a great advantage.
It is for this reason that interest in cognitive biases continues to grow. Companies in several fields, whether IT, finance, research, teach cognitive biases to their employees and their top management. These companies have understood very well the negative impact of these cognitive biases on their results if they did not put anything in place to avoid them.
This course goes straight to the point. Here are some skills you will learn in this training:

Discover the impact of certain words in your job offers on future candidates
Apply strategies to minimize the impact of cognitive biases during your recruitments
Detect when you are victims of unconscious bias
Make your decisions more rationally to find the right candidates
Discover the benefits of diversity and inclusion
And much more
This is not a theoretical course. I share techniques that you can apply immediately. Throughout the training, you will find practical exercises to immediately apply what you learn and achieve results.

The training is pretty interested, really meaningful, but I felt I needed more images or schemes to not be distracted easily and to get a better image of the ideas you presented.

Instructor did a good job of explaining the material and providing examples of the behaviors and studies that support the material. Delivery was energetic and held my attention.

This training was very useful in pointing out all the variance (and many) ways in which humans can be biased during the hiring and interview process. The suggestions on how to avoid bias when interviewing and hiring candidates will be very helpful in the future. The training did an excellent job of making complex issues easy to understand by using real life examples. Would definitely recommend

This was a good course. I have personally gone through many of these bias during my professional life. Jamal was able to articulate this very well. I hope this helps us to become better in overcoming our bias. Thanks.

Beyond providing a great overview of the various types of biases that manifest over the course of the vetting process, walking away with actionable items/advice that one can implement to fight unconscious bias is incredibly valuable. I greatly appreciated the brief introduction on the psychology of bias as well.

The information is pretty well delivered but may be a bit long-winded for my preference

Very informative and very engagement delivery. This course helped realize how unconscious we can be sometimes in certain types of situation. The trainer has a direct style of presenting the content which is great. No fluff, just pure information and techniques to implement the concepts explained. I recommend this course.
