Hi! I'm Caleb. I have created over 1,500 tutorials on data, software development, cryptocurrency, etc. I believe that the way I teach is what matters. I don’t flash big words without explaining them and I don’t assume knowledge.
I keep it simple
My goal is to simplify complex problems for anyone to understand. I'm not your typical "teachers who can create an entire course without actually explaining anything.
I keep it detailed
I also like to be thorough. If you watch my content and don’t leave with a new understanding, then I am not doing my job.
I keep it fun
My primary goal is not to put you to sleep as I read an encyclopedia from slides (I prefer dictionaries). Actually, I kinda hate Powerpoint. My unique approach has caused my videos to be watched 91 years (that’s 800K hours of watchtime on YouTube alone).
I am now a tech trainer with this resume:
170k+ YouTube subscribers
180k+ Udemy students
Ex-IBMer and Ex-Software Engineer
O’reilly Live trainer and course author
International speaker on data and Software Development
10 years of coding experience
I love teaching, and I’m beyond excited to have you join me in the learning process.

In this course student can learn basic of php syntax, how to make dynamic page, little bit of form validation. All of this can be found for free on internet (I get 100% off on this course) Most of lections are just drawed at board, just few are exualy typed as program. In lections he draw at board he make few mistakes, like talking that some value is true but it is exualy false, or missing semicolons (;) - but he exlained topic well so you get point, but if some begginer type exacly same code to test it, student will get error. Some lections are doubled, he tolk about same things in 2 lections, repeating himself. In one code he type, he separated HTML code in very wird way what i don't think it is good practice (just to explain some topic). Teacher didn't reply to any of questions asked in lections(so if student have problem he wont get support from teacher) 2 lections are not even finished - video is cut at middle of lections. I expected to learn how to use PHP in practice, how to make complex web aplications, how to connect php and database, but this course didn't cover this. Course will be better if we would work on projects much more in way as it is done in job. I wanna be job ready if I will pay for course.

This is an awesome course. It deals with PHP in the conceptual level, which makes it easy for learning programming in general. Curry does a great job to simplify all the material and it is very easy to understand. That said, the course should be taken as a complementary course for doing projects or for another course that does a lot of practice coding. I will recommend it to anyone interested in understanding general programming with an emphasis on PHP.

Caleb made everything extremely easy to understand and he made me laugh hard on several occasions, too. I just loved this course, even though some videos were missing parts, but I found them on his YouTube channel eventually. All in all, I would highly recommend this course!

I don't know... All that I can tell now is this instructor is really amazing with only a blackboard he's been teaching me what many other ones weren't able to even having a lot more technical stuff around. I'm really enjoying the content and the way it's been taught! It's up beyond the expectation taking this course

The course is well structured and very easy to follow. Caleb is a brilliant tutor and explains the topics in a way that is both fun and engaging. This course gives you a comprehensive understanding of programming and as such can be used as a starting point to learn other coding languages

There were mistakes in the videos - lectures 48/49 were messed up. The blackboard sitting on top of the books looked bad. In lecture 59, he said there was going to be an example of using the sticky form in the files, but it wasn't there and the course just ended. I noticed some of the questions that were posted hadn't been answered in a couple of years. That looks bad too. On every video he said to subscribe. What are we supposed to subscribe to? Material was good but presentation and execution were lacking. The problem with lecture 48 and 49 has been out there for years. If the course is obsolete and not going to be maintained and supported then delete it. If I paid full price for it, I would not have been satisfied. Caleb - you can do better.

I liked Caleb's overall approach. He made it fun, while supplying good practical explanations, and I liked the chalkboard lessons, which made me feel like I was back in school in a good way! :) I have a stronger understanding now that I've taken this course, and I'll be taking his other courses as well. Thanks, Caleb! :)

Found course to be instructional, lacks on screen examples though, could do a lot more examples on screen allowing students to test themselves. Also found some videos seemed to end before it had finished, and the last video seemed to be missing...

Kinda of goofy. That said, it is hands down more informative than the other videos i have seen so far for the basics of php. Why this rating? pretty self evident. It's goofy in a nice way but handles the nuances of php syntax which others take for granted--and i understand that. Many authors have Youtube videos and a target audience. I'm sure i will update this rating later.

i just finished this very good course, Caleb is a good teacher, also because he isn't very serious, he makes me laugh and it helps when you're learning php. after all the arguments are clear explained and there is a lot of material! the unly thing that it lacks is some exercises, but you can find it here http://phpexercises.com/ thank you Caleb!
